Circle of Knowledge

Even though there is a Toys R’ Us pretty much across the street, we opted to check out Circle of Knowledge in search for a three year old birthday gift. I am so glad we did! I love to support local businesses and this place is FILLED with toys for all ages. We were immediately greeted by a staff member asking if she could help and she gave us a great overview of where age appropriate toys were kept. Knowing that the birthday girl is a fan of dinosaurs, we were pointed to all the toys that fit the bill. We ended up getting a book and a game but they also had lots of cool puzzles that we almost purchased as well. It truly is the little details with places like this and the best detail was the fact that they gift wrap for FREE!!! We got to pick the color of the paper and they put a crafty little bow on top.
The birthday girl absolutely loved the gifts too! When she opened up the game, she forgot that she had other presents still to open because she wanted to play it so bad:)
Moral of the story, if you are in Sunset Hills skip the Toys R’ Us and check out Circle of Knowledge. I almost just want to have a kid of my own so I go can there more often… almost…

Have you ever been afraid to walk into a store?
I stood outside looking up at the sign” Circle of Knowledge”. For me the name is scary enough! I hymed and hawed peering into the window. That voice in my head kept saying” I need a baby gift, today Margo, today!“
Hmm, I am looking for a baby gift and the name of the store has my palms sweating, but somewhere, somehow my hands pulled the door open. I stood in a sea of baby knowledge and was dizzy with dumbfoundness (is that even a word?) .
Then– from the corner of my eye what should appear?
Why, a friendly sales lady with a voice so sincere.
I am out of my element, I sighed in disbelief.
She offered THAT knowledge and brought me total relief.
She then gave me space to make up my mind.
I chose an award winning toy called Sunshine Symphony that plays classical tunes… what a find!
She nodded with approval and offered to wrap.
With all this new knowledge, I now needed a nap.

This isn’t your run-​of-​the-​mill toy store where you get lost in endless aisles of stuff, with nobody in sight to help you find what you’re looking for.
This place is much smaller, and the staff is very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about all of the toys in the store. We had no idea what to buy for my one-​year old goddaughter whose older brother has a ton of toys, and the girl behind the counter was more than willing to tell us details about several different toys that were age-​appropriate.
They have a selection of many types of toys that you’re unlikely to find at Toys R Us and other places.
If you’re looking for something different to buy for a kid, be sure to check this place out. Even better, you’re supporting a local small business rather than some gigantic chain.
Oh, and gift wrapping is complementary, and they sell birthday cards, so this is really a good one-​stop shop for all your needs.
