If you love crepes, then you’ll love this place. I love savory crepes here! They give a lot of fillings(cheese, vegetables, chicken, and sauce) in them! Its really fulfilling and delicious. It is a perfect place to have a brunch! I had to stand in a line on weekends, but it is so worth it

I went in for brunch with friends. I ordered the Santa Fe crêpe and the nutella crêpe. Food was amazing! If Im ever back in the city, i would definitely be back.

Pros: Huge selection of all yummy, reasonably-priced food, plus other options such as soup, salad, and sandwiches for the non-crêpe lover. Smoothies and coffee, too! The crepes are both sweet and savory, and ranging from healthy to gut-bomb. Buckwheat is even an option. I ordered a latte with almond milk and the roast/flavor of the beans was not desirable. More bitter than a Starbucks drink and unfortunately I wouldn’t order again, perhaps will try regular coffee instead next to double check. Wait time was reasonable and staff were friendly. My husband loved his St. Louis slinger-filled crêpe, and my french connection was really yummy for a savory breakfast. Serving was huge, so I split mine up and had the rest for lunch!

Crepes are delicious and they know how to make them even better! The crepes are huge and will leave you satisfied, very full, and maybe even ready for a nap. If you’re planning on going on a weekend, be sure to get there early or wait until the rush leaves. I have never seen this place not busy, so expect a line when you go. You have to order and the search for a table. Aside from the delicious crepes, their salads and sandwiches also hit the spot. The fresh bagel chips are amazing and will keep you coming back. I also recommend getting the fresh squeezed orange juice.

This has been my favorite brunch location for over a decade. Not just in Clayton, or STL, but in the country. Every time I come back in town CCC is solid in its quality and variety of offerings. One thing that continues is its popularity. On Sunday morning you are sure to find a crowd and a decent line, but it moves fast and the table turn over is quick. Even though they are busy, the quality never lacks. I have tried at least a dozen items on the menu all all are fantastic. I highly suggest this gem.

What not to love about this place? The food and coffee are so delicious and flavorful. The atmosphere is cosy. Service is so friendly. The prices are reasonable. Parking is not an issue at all! I love their savory crepes collection. My 2 favorites are: –Saint Louis grilled chicken, artichoke and parmesan cheese filling & fresh spinach –Mont Blanc Grilled chicken, fresh mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and red onion with mushroom cream sauce They also have a great selection of muffins. My favorite is the pineapple upside down muffin! YUM!

This place is incredible and has quickly become the go-to brunch place for my friends and I when we’re all in town. By now I’ve tried almost everything on the menu at least once. Savory crepes: 5 stars — You can’t go wrong with the savory crepes; there’s really something for whatever you’re in the mood for. The crêpe itself is thicker than it is at some other places, which I really like, and the ingredients are flavorful across the board. Some of my favorites are the Clayton Club(turkey, bacon, fresh spinach, marinated tomatoes, green onions, swiss cheese & housemade dressing), the Lox and Dam(smoked salmon, red onions, capers, fresh spinach and cream cheese), and the Santa Fe(chorizo, pepperjack, avocado, tomato, cilantro, red onion, fresh spinach with house-made rojo sauce and avocado sauce). Sweet crepes: 5 stars — Once again, the chalkboard is filled with winning sweet crepes. Whether you want it filled with(really fresh) fresh fruit(strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas) or with other fillings(Nutella, pecans, caramel sauce, peanut butter) — or better yet, a combination of both — it’s a perfect sweet treat, warm and usually topped with cold whipped cream. The Monte Carlo(strawberries, coconut & pecans with manjar blanco sauce) is out of this world. Intangibles: 4.5 stars — It’s in a great area of Clayton with a decent amount of parking lot nearby. It can get busy/crowded, so you may have to scope out a table ahead of time, but they generally do a good job of getting through the line. It’s a nice place to hang around for awhile, especially if you can get a seat in the screened-in outdoor area on a nice day. Coffee /teas: 4 stars — I’ve never been overly impressed with the coffees, but the chai tea is my favorite I’ve ever had.

Every time I come here I can’t decide whether to go savory or sweet. I always end up with the St. Louis crêpe. I LOVE the creamy sauce and the artichokes! Never disappoints. I always try and convince someone to get a sweet crêpe so I can have some too. HA! They always have a few different coffee brews too! There is a nice sun room to sit in which I love because you get the natural light if you need to do some work! I always recommend this place to people looking for breakfast or lunch. So delicious. You really can’t go wrong with any of those crepes!

The Crêpe Place — is what we call it in my family… City Coffee is a great place for lunch while in Clayton. The crêpe menu is a bit overwhelming as they have basically every single crêpe you could possible imagine(or want). All of the crepes are great and even better knowing you can be sort of healthy with the buckwheat option. The nutella crepes are the way to go if you are looking for something sweet. If you are more of savory person really any of the crepes with cheese and meat are awesome. I tend to get the same cobb salad every single time I go with the jalapeño cornbread or the bagel chips. The salad is topped with egg, bacon, tomatoes, onion, avocado and turkey… the dressing is a light vinaigrette(maybe raspberry?) and its awesome. I probably get this salad a few times a month. Delish — oh and I love their Power Green smoothie.

A while back, I enjoyed a pumpkin crêpe here. It was great and tasted more like pumpkin pie than a crêpe! The atmosphere here is interesting. When crowded, it can be a little irritating to find a table right for your group. The food was tasty and I felt it to be good value. I didn’t try the coffee.

City Coffeehouse & Crêperie is an excellent choice for breakfast in Clayton. They are reasonably priced, the service is quick and friendly, and you won’t be standing around waiting for 30 – 90 minutes. Is any breakfast really worth that kind of a wait? I had breakfast on Sunday and ordered the egg, meat, and cheese crêpe with Havarti cheese and bacon. The bacon was crispy, the cheese was nicely melted and the eggs were cooked well. It was all wrapped in one of their tasty crepes. Crepes are a once in a while thing for me but this was an excellent choice and this place is so much better than that other crêpe place in the CWE. It’s busy here for a reason!

City Coffeehouse and Creperie is such an awesome establishment! You can find anything from savory to sweet crepes, sandwiches, salads, coffees, whatever your heart desires(well, almost). My first visit was due to the wonderful reviews on Unilocal and since this place is not too far from my residence, I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed and I still come here on occasion to get some savory crepes or enjoy a salad at lunch time. This place has quite an extensive crêpe selection. I have tried the Fiesta(white flour): grilled chicken, green chiles, red onions, spinach, mozzarella and cheddar cheese with chile verdi sauce. You also have the Southwest ranch option if you are getting the fiesta but somehow, the chile verdi won that day. It was quite delicious! The second crêpe I have tried from here is the Shady Oak and this time, I was more adventurous and tried the Buckwheat flour. The Shady Oak also has grilled chicken but the buckwheat flour gave the crepes a more interesting flavor. I ended up liking the Buckwheat flour more and ordered the Brittany to go on a different occasion. I loved all the crepes I have had from here and I have recommended them to some people I know at work who are fans of crepes. I have never tried any of their dessert crepes(not a fan of sweets) but maybe one day, I will. Another menu item I tried is their chef salad. I have only had it while dining in but they do give you quite a big portion. As a side note, if you like your salad with more dressing, you should ask for another container because their sizable salad only comes with 1 little container of dressing. I have never finished my salad and unfortunately, I always seem to come in while I am on the way to go do something else so I never took my leftover home with me. Last but not least is their beverage selection. I love their chai latte and their cappuccino! I seem to always end up with the chai latte during my visits but that’s okay because it is that good. Service has always been excellent. You order at the counter, they give you a cute little Eiffel tower holder with a number on top and someone will bring you your order when it is ready. If you order a drink, they do tell you to wait on the other side of the counter for your drink before you sit down. Overall, this place has never disappointed me and I always leave satisfied every time I come here.

Second time coming in and it keeps getting better. We enjoyed our meal today although they forgot to include the egg in our crêpe which was recommended by the lady who waited on us but that’s okay because the Brie cheese made up for it. We also had a Nutella crêpe with bananas and strawberries which was good. The place was clean and the service was fairly quick.

My fellow Unilocalers, I thank you. Because of your great reviews and pictures I decided to try this amazing place. I love that you can watch them prepare your crêpe. Even through the line was long, it only took about 8 min to get to the counter. The place is jam packed, but food only took about 10 min to get to the table. The food is amazing. Rich in flavor and beautifully plated. I live down the street and hadn’t been in. I now, will most certainly become a regular.

The atmosphere is very nice, in a nice neighborhood, the wait wasn’t bad at all. So many great choices to pick from and the Nutella with banana and almonds crêpe and fiesta crêpe we ordered were delicious!

Really great place to get some tasty crepes… the French connection is really tasty, all of the sweet crepes are yummy too. Only bummer is that there is always a long wait and the staff isn’t all that friendly and the place is a little disorganized so if you have time to wait, great place for breakfast.

Really liked this place. I came in on a Saturday around noon and yes, it was pretty crowded, but we had no problems getting a table. Some seating is definitely better than others, though. The food was good! I’m not usually one for sweet things, but I really do think the sweet crepes won out over the savory ones. I personally got a salad, which was pretty good, and fairly large(a good thing due to the price). I wish they had free refills on coffee.

Bustling creperie with delicious food and drinks. Went here on a Sat afternoon and the place was pretty busy, but line seemed to go relatively quick(this is an order-at-counter place, not table service). We got chai tea lattes which were really good. I ordered a Banana/Strawberry/Nutella crêpe and my boyfriend got the Lox and Dam crêpe; we were both happy with our selections. Prices were reasonable, and menu had a lot of good options, so we would definitely go back. There are a lot of things going on with the ordering and self-seating, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend if you’re looking for a quiet place to relax and eat brunch.

While I do quite enjoy crepes, I have to say that they are not my absolute favorite breakfast treat. This is because I’m more about the delicious fillings than I am the crêpe itself. That’s not to say that if you put a banana, strawberry and nutella crêpe down in front of me I wouldn’t eat it. Because that’s exactly what I enjoyed there today! Now, I did ask for EXTRA nutella, just to be on the safe side(remember, for me it’s all about the filling). And I’m glad I did, because you can never go wrong with more nutella! The crêpe itself turned out to be quite enjoyable — it’s had that light, but slightly chewy texture. The fruit inside tasted very fresh and bright. When I looked around the beautiful patio area(the windows were open and there was a lovely breeze) everyone’s orders looked beautiful! I have to say that some of the best looking plates were their salads! I’m thinking this would be a great place to visit for lunch in the future! My absolute favorite part of this coffeehouse was the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie. I noticed the cookie jars sitting on the counter when I approached and gave my order. While these cookies were pretty large, they didn’t necessarily look like life-changing cookies. They looked almost average. But this seemed like

Yep, I said it…5 stars for this outstanding café because they knocked my socks off during this first first. My expectations were nowhere near what I received and I am ashamed lol. I love small businesses, I love coffee, I love Clayton and I love crepes so it was important that I pay my respects to City Coffeehouse & Creperie. The exterior can be missed if your driving more than 5MPH so pump your brakes and look for Oceano. City Coffeehouse & Creperie is next door. The inside is intimate enough for a date yet open enough for a nice group get-together. The employees were welcoming and helped me order. I watched the guys prepare my crêpe in an open kitchen setup which was cool. The menu boards are super cute and colorful. The crêpe variety here is serious. Buckwheat batter is an option for .95 cents additional cost. I tried the lemon curb with fresh blueberry crêpe… jaw dropping delicious. Hands down best crêpe I’ve had in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. The whip cream was hand made; I can tell by the texture this didn’t come out of a can. My dark roast black coffee complimented the sweet(not too sweet) crêpe. Free Wi-Fi, beautiful enclosed patio for window seating and people watching make this place a winner. I’ll be back! Christy loves ya City Coffeehouse & Creperie.

I have had some good crepes here but they need some serious work on non crêpe items. I ventured out to try the veggie sandwich. It’s totally not worth it… It’s just a spinach salad with minimal sauce between bread. The«bagel chips» that come with it are very disappointing — imagine a dry bagel thinly sliced and toasted, probably from their leftover bagel stash. Last up the green smoothie — it’s just spinach almond milk with a hint of banana. Somehow they managed to disappoint on every aspect of my $ 15 meal. I ended up putting jam on the«bagel chips» to make something enjoyable out of the meal.

City has the best crepes in town. It’s so hard to decide which ones to get so I’ve been trying a new crêpe every time I go there. Coffee here is pretty good. The freshly squeezed orange juice is a winner for the price. Baked goods here are very well made too. It can be crowded and hard to find a seat especially in the sun room area so getting there before 9 helps.

It is delicious. I am confused and a little annoyed by the negative Nancys on here. The menu is full and highly variable. I’m a vegetarian and my boyfriend is not. We were both so happy with our meals. I had the florentine and he had the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe was filled to the brim with chorizo, and my florentine was perfection. The pesto is top notch. A great Sunday morning brunch!

Hmmm. Not quite sure where to begin. We came here for a late breakfast one Sunday after church. The place was packed to the gills, which typically is a good sign. There isn’t waiter service, which was our first disappointment. So after standing in line, and trying to decipher the chalkboard menu offerings, and list of items above the ordering station, we now had to find a table. It was a blustery morning, so folks just weren’t leaving! Finally we were able to secure a table, but had a hard time flagging down someone to clean it. I’m not sure what would’ve happened if our food was ready before we found a table. The staff running around in the dining area were not helpful in the least. They all seemed to be too busy to be attentive to waiting customers. Frustrating. I think you really have to be an aficionado of crepes to like this place. They offer breakfast, lunch and dessert varieties. Ours were okay, but nothing spectacular, and didn’t inspire us to want to return. The owners obviously have created their own niche and have successfully marketed the idea. Kudos to them — love to see capitalism and entrepreneurship in action. We just are fans of the offerings.

I LOVE the crepes here! Each time I visit Clayton/St. Louis, we stop in for either breakfast or lunch. This time, my husband and I split the Mont Blanc and the Nutella Chocolate with strawberries and bananas. DELICIOUS! The service is exceptional each time and the food delivery to table is quick. Each visit leaves me full and satisfied.

This place is so cute! The ambiance, decorations, and the feel– it was cozy, inviting, and darling. What a lovely place for a late breakfast. I came with a few friends before a day of sight-seeing after we saw great Unilocal reviews. The menu is colorfully laid out on two huge blackboards– one for the crepes(both sweet and savory) and the other for sandwiches. There were even a couple of smaller blackboards mounted above them for extra crêpe options. They all sounded amazing! You can watch them make your crêpe too. This place is apparently known for the option of using buckwheat flour instead of white flour; the lovely woman who took my order recommended the regular flour for sweet crepes. Two of us arrived early so we grabbed drinks while we waited. My vanilla latte was a little over sweet. I was also a little disappointed that my latte art consisted of a oddly shaped blob on top of the mug, but I suppose I shouldn’t expect latte art everywhere. After our friends arrived, we ordered food. We ordered the Nutella crêpe with strawberries, Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, and a custom savory crêpe with eggs, bacon, and cheese. It took a little longer than we expected — being able to watch them make your crêpe comes with the downside of seeing the finished plates wait for a server all the while cooling fast. Fortunately(and expectedly) it was all delicious! I had the Nutella crêpe and it was warm, soft, and stuffed with Nutella and strawberry yumminess. My companions reported enjoying their selections as well. I would totally come back– I’d love to try a savory crêpe at lunch or dinner. Seems like a regular spot for several of the patrons there– which is always a great sign. They even have a selection of muffins and bagels, if you don’t want crepes or waffles.

Love this place! I highly recommend the following: red velvet latte, Santa Fe crêpe and Nutella and strawberries crêpe. Just amazing. A tad expensive but the best crepes in the city. Well sized and not skimpy on the fillings. If you go with someone who you don’t mind sharing with, split a savory and a sweet so you can have the best of both worlds. Tried the new hash brown this morning. Just eh, don’t waste your $. Overall, one of my top three favorite breakfast places!
