So I think this is a four star in the making. They get one star for being a family owned business in the hood Serving double portions at reasonable prices. They get another star for banging sauce. I like sweet and spicy sauce and that is what I got. The third star is for being open in tornadoe whether on new years eve. I could not give the fourth star though because the chicken was dry as the Sahara. The rib tips were a little fatty too. I have a hunch that they used food cooked the day before. My experience was not so bad that I will not give them a second chance the next time I am in the area. Til then.

I was only going to be in STL for a day, so I was thinking about heading to Pappy’s. However, since I seemed to know my way around a BBQ joint a friend recommended this place. He did warn me that it was in a rougher part of town; the great places usually are. Thus, I went during the day for lunch. I wish this place had a place to sit down and eat, even if it was a few picnic tables outside or something. These guys know how to cook meat. I went with the rib tips, since this was my first Missouri BBQ experience and Cousins’ did not disappoint. I am glad I am in pretty good shape; otherwise, the weight of the sandwich would have snapped my arm off. The meat was tender and drenched in BBQ sauce. Less may have been more there(with regards to sauce and meat), but no biggie as the sauce was tasty. I also tried some brisket; this was well prepared, as well.
