We did some Christmas shopping here recently due to them having a sale and I was impressed with unique gift options available. Originally we were stopping in to look at a particular jewelry artist and ended up finding several gift ideas. From purses, jewelry, home décor, and more, this boutique has something for everyone. I am glad they were having a sale as this shop can get expensive but the quality is top notch. Happy Shopping!

If you’re a woman, you’ll love it. If you’re a man, this is a nice place to find an artsy or «thoughtful» gift for a woman. The staff is wonderful; they’re very nice.

Next stop on the Kirkwood Romp. . This is a fine store. Big on Vera Bradley. And Crabtree & Evelyn. A lot of weird offerings, for which no one should pay money. Wacko stuff. But also greeting cards, scarves, clothing and the regular offerings for women — lotions and other smelly things. And socks for men with funny sayings on they. Darned big store.

I am not a gift-store aficionado… but this is one of those one-of-a-kind places that manages to carry unique jewelry and gifts that are worth a look. There are definitely pricey items, but I think there are an awful lot of affordable pieces as well. Plus… they offer 20% off any one item of your choice on Sundays… so you can spring for that Vera Bradley with a little less guilt! ;)

Wandered in for a peek and ended up having to remind myself that I might regret dropping 25 bucks on greeting cards alone, I should probably just stick to the one for the birthday the next day. There is certainly a plethora of gifties for babies, newlyweds, or even just your dinner host(ess). The jewelry I hardly gandered at, as it was kind of run-of-the-mill in my opinion — an abundance of silver metalwork if memory serves correctly. Good place to kill 20 or 30 minutes while waiting for the train to show, smelling candles, admiring kitchen and home toys, and truly: the greeting cards alone I would go back for.

This quaint shop has a lot to offer for ladies with some cash to burn. Unfortunately, I don’t have that, so the exquisite but expensive jewelry featured here was for window shopping only. However, I did come out with a glass ring for an unbelievable $ 4.50! Probably the cheapest piece of jewelry in there, but gorgeous nonetheless. On Sundays, jewelry is 25% off, a great deal for those who need one. The back of the shop(the caboose) houses items for babies and kids while the front has a HUGE selection of Vera Bradley handbags. The collection is way too vast and takes up a lot of space where a variety of brands might be offered. The greeting cards here are fabulous, funny, and often handmade. A great place for a unique(possibly pricey) gift!

If you need a gift(especially for a lady), Down by the Station prob’ly has you covered. This rambling store is uh, down by the… station(duh) in the bustling downtown of Kirkwood and is a fun place to stop if you’re wandering the shops in the area. The store offers a nice selection of jewelry and accessories, cards and stationery, seasonal decorations and ornaments, wedding-themed gifts and plenty of kitchen/houseware items like unique serving platters, utensils and glassware. Down by the Station also has a crapload of Vera Bradley bags and another section filled with items for the wee ones. I’ve surprised myself by how many little gifts I’ve bought here in the past. Upon first glance, I thought Down by the Station was pretty WASPy(coulda just been an assumption based on who was shopping at the time), but there’s actually a pretty good variety of items here. Stationery for myself, Christmas ornaments for friends, fun kitchen things for newlyweds – it’s definitely worth a look. And if you don’t find something, you can always head next door to the Custard Station and blow your dough on frozen treats.
