Nice little greasy spoon. I only give it three stars because that’s just the kinda place it is, but its great for that. Breakfast all day. I sure like the service here. The waitress I usually get is great!

You walk into this place and you think you’re walking into a truck stop restaurant, but let me assure you the food is nothing short of amazing. I had the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were good and the gravy was okay. I prefer a sausage gravy more than a cream gravy, but it was good. The turkey sausage was delicious. The person I dined with had pancakes and they were the lightest, fluffiest pancakes I’ve ever tasted.

This is the best place for breakfast hands down. All turkey for those that can’t or don’t want to eat pork.

We came in to have«breakfast for dinner.» We got acknowledged, seated, and attended to right away. Food came out quickly and hot, and my husband and I were very happy with our order. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We will definitely dine here again.

As a local this is a place we will never go to again. The service was awful. It took almost 30 minutes to even get to order food. Then the waitress acted like we were putting her out having to take our order. The food wasn’t as ordered and not very good. IHOP is a much better choice if you are looking for a breakfast diner. Then I found hair in my food. When I told the waitress she said nobody back there has hair that color and walked away. The food is reasonably priced. It’s just at not that good.

Upon coming in the atmosphere is welcoming with current music playing. Met with friendly staff at door. I must point out the way I’m met and received is very important because I do have a service dog and at times am received with back lash enter food establishments with her. My waitress was very friendly and prompt. Food was out in like 10 minutes. I was here at 745pm with a few people in and out steadily on a Thursday night. I had the patty melt and just switch Swiss cheese and for a chap diner it was very good with a side of amazing fries. It is a diner but it is an amazing one.

Bottom Line: I can’t wait to be there again so I can have another one of those whoppers! I was staying at a nearby hotel and wanted some breakfast. I checked Unilocal and this was a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I ordered a coffee and started looking at the pictures on Unilocal.I saw the pics of the burgers and changed my mind. I had the Breakfast Burger. It was enough for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! Well, not to take home, but I didn’t want to eat for the rest of the day! It was huge and 3 napkin juicy. My only complaint is that it was so juicy the bun didn’t have a chance — it was a soggy mess. Simple solution — next time I will get a Patty Melt version. My waitress was Tonya and she was a sweetheart. I had 3 cups of coffee and when I was done she asked me if I wanted another and I said no — she said«Are you sure? I can make you one to go». I’m so glad she suggested that — I had it once I got back to my hotel while reading the paper and it was perfect. The place is clean. The waitresses are all very friendly and efficient. The food was that perfect so bad for you it’s so good combination. Will def go back but don’t know if I could ever get past ordering that burger ;-)

Waitress was very friendly and offered good service, that’s what the 2 stars are for, nothing rlse. Food was bad! Like very bad with the exception of the pancakes. All my food came out lukewarm. Eggs were watery, hash browns burnt and biscuits and gravy with sausage patties bleh! Should of went to the Waffle House! Oh and I did get a side of bacon and they brought out turkey bacon and said they didn’t have regular bacon WTF lol

Probably won’t return. I only did eggs, toast and bacon. I ordered over medium and they came over easy. They only serve the bacon, sausage and ham with turkey substitute. I should have done that as sausage.

Came in for breakfast today. Waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged, 10 minutes to get my drink and 10 minutes for my food. The food was good and fresh, but definitely not worth waiting 35 minutes to get it. Come here if you have ample time to wait around. I would not recommend this place for a business lunch or a quick breakfast.

This was the first breakfast spot near the car rental and airport so my sister, nieces, and I stopped to kill time. Parking is a bit weird on a hotel lot, but I finally found a spot. It was about 7 am and only two other tables were occupied. A blonde lady told us to take a seat anywhere. Our server dropped off menus and offered water. She informed us that all meat was turkey only, including the bacon and ham. We thought that was awesome! I don’t eat meat and my sister and nieces don’t eat pork, so that was perfect. I wasn’t that hungry so I had hash browns. My sister and nieces had omelets, waffles, and wings. They liked their food. It was nothing special, but wasn’t bad either. I was shocked at the dirty bathroom so early in the morning. Our server was one of the friendliest and most polite people I’ve ever had waiting on me anywhere. I didn’t get her name but she is a small, petite lady with a short hair cut. Kudos to her and thanks for the friendly conversation and compliments on our politeness as well!!!

Ended up here because it was the closest breakfast spot to our hotel. Saturday morning not at all busy when we arrived– 3 adults, 3 babies. I notice most of the seats are booths. We get seated at what appeared to be the only table/chairs(I didn’t walk around the restaurant). The hostess just walks away after taking us to the table– never asked if we needed highchairs. So we ask the waitress and she says she thinks they only have 1 and it’s being used. Uhhh? She goes and checks and comes back with 2 and says that’s all they have. Every greasy spoon type restaurant I’ve ever been to always has a stack of highchairs. Well they only have 3. The food was nothing special. It served its purpose(feed me and my kid). Another odd thing, my friend asked for a bacon omelette. There’s bacon on the menu. They make omelettes– no brainer right? Wrong. They wouldn’t make it. Well ok. End of the meal we had barely stood up and gotten the kids out of the highchairs when another waitress rushes over and says«we’ve been waiting on these» and takes them. Right. Because that’s our problem. I googled it. The cheapest I’ve found the highchairs is $ 23. Invest in more because I’m positive this isn’t the first time there’s been a problem with this. If not for that this place is largely forgettable.

Not as dirty as a Denny’s and not as hipsterish as First Watch. It’s worth a try. Food to try: all of their egg combo items. Food to avoid: their gyro

This joint has décor straight from the mid nineties – forest green and mauve. But it does a bustling business of families, travelers, and business folks. I enjoyed a late breakfast, which had a large piece of ham, good sausage links, and eggs cooked to order. I liked the fact that the hash browns came virtually unseasoned. It allowed me to salt and pepper to my taste.(I find it sad when they are a brick of sodium with a few taters tossed in.). I ordered decaf, which of course had to be brewed for me. My server promised a refill, but took forever to come back– but come back she eventually did, with a gushing apology so sweet that I forgave her. She even offered me a to-go cup for free.(It’s not like anyone else wants that decaf, but it was a nice gesture.). If you are in one of the nearby hotels, or near Lambert for any reason, this is a solid breakfast option.

Well, my food was GREAT. Tasted delish, anyway. Good portions, good flavor, plenty of options to choose from. Why two stars, then? It made me sick. Past age 3 or so, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had food-borne illness. Shortly after my visit at GP, it was very obvious that I’d wound up with food poisoning. Ugh. My service was pretty good, and the restaurant looks like it was taken straight out of 1996 – Burgundy and hunter green, anyone? If only my food hadn’t made me sick. :(

Golden Pancake had the BEST patty melt sandwich I ever had! It was very very good. Beef was cooked up juicy and perfect. Carmelized onions and cheese on rye toast. I added just a bit of ketchup and had a great lunch. Fries were crispy and delicious. The service was good. Maxie waited on me. She’s been here three years! I’m sure she’s seen a lot of things here. This place is kind of divey which I like. Doesn’t have that big chain feel. Saw kids in here at 11:00(why aren’t they in school?) with their parents. I’ll come again!

Having been here before, I decided to give it another chance. On my first visit(a couple months ago) they seemed extremely short-staffed, and as a result, the entire place looked like a disaster and the service was very, very slow. Fast-forward to today. Exact same circumstances. Very, very few staff. We were seated promptly(near four tables that had not yet been bused and one other party who had not yet been served) and water arrived just a couple minutes later, at which point we both ordered coffee. The coffee(of decent quality) arrived 10 minutes later. An inauspicious start. We both ordered the breakfast sampler and both upgraded our pancakes, mine to blueberry and my companion’s to apple. 30 – 35 minutes later our food arrived. The aforementioned un-bused tables surrounding us were still in the same condition, and the other party seated near us had received their food. As for the meal, the hash browns had never been anywhere near anything resembling a seasoning or spice, though they were properly cooked, as were the eggs. The sausage and ham were tasty. The«bacon»(and I really do have to use quotes for this) tasted like Sizzlean. I have no idea what you have to do to bacon to make it taste like this, but it should be stopped immediately. For an added bonus, it was also severely undercooked. For a restaurant that has«pancake» in its name, I would think they would be more adapt at, you know, making pancakes. My blueberry pancakes appeared to be the result of beating in the blueberries with the rest of the batter, so they result was essentially a pancake that was entirely blue-gray, overcooked for good measure. The words«light» and«fluffy» never entered my head. My companion’s pancakes did indeed look better, as these apple pancakes were plain pancakes next to a bowl of apple pie filling. Our server was friendly and polite, and in no way can I fault her service. An hour or so after we arrived, we completed our meal and went up front to pay, noting the four still unbused tables in our section, plus the newly unbused table of the couple near us, plus the 5 or 6 unbused tables in the next row.
