Delicious halal option in St. Louis! Came here with my family for lunch after a long day of furniture shopping and it hit the spot. We tried the Phillysteak, chicken philly, chicken teriyaki, and buffalo chicken sandwiches along with an order of buffalo chicken wings. Everything was delicious! The owner was really friendly and gave us a spot to pray in the back of the restaurant. Can’t wait to visit STL again so I can eat here!

This place really hits the spot. The falafel is spectacular, and the gyro meat is tasty. I’ll definitely be making this part of my weekly meal rotation.

Decent for a quick lunch. I got a beef /lamb gyro. The pita was soggy, too much sauce. White onions instead of red and adding lettuce and tomato would have been great. I will give it another try for lunch and I’ll eat in and hope it’s not soggy. Getting sauce on the side could solve the issue. The lamb and beef was plentiful and had mild flavor.

Overall: 4 stars Food: 5 Top notch middle eastern food. Suggest: Talk to the owner and he’ll hook you up with something you’ll be sure to love. Price: 4 Reasonable compared to anything on the loop. Service: 5 Friendly owner cares about your experience. Environment: 3 No complaints, large screens great for watching games, slightly uncomfortable chairs.

First time try! They did not listen to my order. I asked for no onions they had onions on everything. Gave me a lamb instead of chicken gyro. Forgot sauce on both orders. Chicken was tough on the second order.

Just moved from PA to STL and trying different foods. Saw Gyro Grill and definitely hit the spot. Had the traditional lamb gyro pita(no onions/olives) with fries. Lamn was great and not dry, the Tzatziki sauce wasn’t too much and the pita was soft, warm and didn’t break at all while I ate it. Met the owner who was real laid back. Great place if you’re looking for a gyro and meal around $ 10! Gyro, fries + drink = $ 10.50 after tax

Prices aren’t bad, but the gyro here is only mediocre at best. Service is ok, but the gyro meat isn’t crispy, and the tzatziki sauce is thin like a salad dressing. I would order the gyro with tzatziki on the side, so your gyro isn’t soggy. If you want a good gyro, go to Olympia on Mc Causland or Michael’s on Manchester.

We had the lamb & beef gyros and schwarma. Food was great; generous amount of meat and fresh pita. Casual college atmosphere, but fine for families too. Very helpful service. Will definitely return to try their falafel or more gyros.

Had a Gyro once and it was O.K. so thought I would give it another go. Shawarma and Shish Touok chicken this time. Threw it away! The rice was minute rice with some corn and peas in it. Terrible. And getting harassed by the street folk begging for cigs and money in front and inside the place is also not a plus. The guy at the counter was nice at least. Will never go back.

I had no expectations from this place. It didn’t look very exciting or anything… but it was the Loop Ice Carnival, and the bf wanted to stop in, so we did. He wanted a strange sandwich he had about a decade and a half ago in france. It was gyro meat, fries, feta, and maybe some other stuff in a french bread bun. He told the guy behind the counter that, and this place was really accommodating. I was really impressed with how some people are that awesome. And then we sat down and waited. Before long, the food arrived. It was good! I wasn’t hungry so I tried a nibble here and there of the sandwich, but everything I tried I enjoyed. Not bad at all! I’ll have to come here again for food.

This little place is exactly what the Dr. Ordered. The place is clean, from the front door to the bathroom. Everything you need is right where you would expect it. They have a wide range of items on the menu for food and drink and the proprietors are enthusiastic about the food they prepare and serve. I had a new combo for myself it was a Philly cheese steak mixed with a gyro. The results delicious. Think gyro meat and pita meets grilled veggies and provolone cheese. They also gave me a side of chili paste on request and that really makes it great. I also used the spicyness on my well seasoned and perfectly prepared fries. The best part? All for a crisp $ 10 bill. The owner also brought everyone a sample of their homemade Falafel. It was perfectly moist and delicious! Makes going meatless a really tempting option. Great for vegetarians and veggie lovers alike. As always 5 stars isn’t earned by getting one thing right. They hit on all cylinders and for that 5 stars is well deserved. Desserts are made in house by mom. I’ll be back for that next time!

Food is fast and made to order. Most sandwiches are only $ 6. It’s always busy during lunch. The guy who took my order was smiling and super nice. Very clean as well!

Been here 3 times. Great each time. Funny story… first time I went here, I recognized the guy behind the counter… told him he looked familiar and he said he just moved his restaurant here from S. Kingshighway. Turns out that his place on S. Kingshighway was my «go to» gyro place when I worked in the West End… coincidentally my office moved to clayton around the same time, so this is REALLY close. The guy who runs it is a genuinly nice guy, the place is really clean and the gyros(the sauce) is the best in town. Now, if he would do crinkle cut or thin cut fries, I’d give him 6 stars Go Here.

Love this place. I was super excited to see they moved from their south city location to the loop. Food is great for the price and if you asked the guys there what they recommend you won’t be steered wrong. If you like gyros and being able to fill yourself to the max on $ 20 you’ll dig this place.

I love that this place gives us another fast casual option on the east side of the Loop. You get a lot of food for the price. It’s great being able to get falafel any time I want. All of the pitas I’ve tried are delicious. I recommend the chicken shawarma.

I love this place. I used to go to the one on Kingshighway a lot and loved it, and it’s still great. Some of the best falafel and gyros around, along with a lot of other options on their menu. And better yet, it’s super affordable. It’s one of the best lunch places or cheap dinners on Delmar.

A good place for a filling, fresh and delicious lunchtime meal. I was impressed by the food quality and the prompt service. The falafel patties were intensely seasoned, but not overwhelmingly spicy, with some texture of the beans still remaining, generous in size and were served hot and moist, with a tasty tahini dip. Lamb Gyro Philly: Abundance of lamb with colorful assortment of fresh vegetables including lettuce, onions and tomato lying on a soft flatbread(pitta). Delicious. Beef Shawarma and Kefta: Wasn’t quite sure what a shawarma is so I gave it a try. Similar to a gyro but the meat was perfectly pocketed in the pita as oppose to being wrapped, so you can eat with very little mess. The Kefta tend to be little dry and tough though. This place seemed to be a little bit stifling, especially in such terribly hot summer days. Tight budget on the utility expense perhaps. A mitigation to the situation, there were several small ceiling fans rotating for dear life in the hopes that they would cooler the room, but it was like spitting on an uncontrolled forest fire and they didn’t really make me feel better at a perceivable level. The place consequently, was lethargic, to my thinking, due to the warmth. –0.7 for the warmth; +0.3 for good website design. 4.6 rounded to 5.

Gyro Grill is a small fast-food gyro shop that recently moved from S Kingshighway to the Delmar Loop. They serve mostly Gyros, kebabs and items typical of a Gyro café. But, they have also added Shawirma, and Kefta(middle eastern meats, other sandwiches like pastrami, Philly’s, teriyaki, etc, and yummy vegetarian dips like baba ganouj(eggplant purée), and Hummus(garlic, chickpea, and tahini purée). They have salads, some interesting middle eastern themed burgers and various stuffed potatoes. The Gyro meat is very fresh and juicy, Nothing on the menu is over $ 11and all sandwiches are under $ 7. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. It’s a very comfortable place to stop. Try the Mezza platter and the vegan lentil soup. Highly recommended!
