I love this Downtown Hardee’s! I have always gotten good service and my food fast. They can accommodate a crowd too… i have been here on 2 different Cardinals opening days… its always the cheapest place to get a meal and be able to sit down at a table! This year i got a T-Shirt for free there. NO complaints from me.

This Hardees also has a separate counter for a Mexican-American chain they own called Red Burrito. The place is set up to accommodate the fleeting large sports crowds from downtown, so the register lines are larger than average with an entry ramp leading into the dining area. Red Burrito is ok in a pinch, they have vegetarian options and average fast food prices. Their quality is just a tiny sliver above Taco Bell, but less than the newer large burrito chains. They had a salsa station on ice, though it can get to look neglected. It seemed like more of their business was from the burger side of the counter. I wouldn’t make a special trip for this place, but if you were out downtown with a large group of people ready to eat with some vegetarians and meat eaters and a low budget this place will fit the bill.

No, thanks, Hardees. My first experience at a Hardees was in Downtown St. Louis, and its guaranteed to be my last. If you’ve never had Hardees before, think about what Burger King burgers taste like. That’s right, like fake grilled food… now add some mayo to it and you’ve got Hardees. The fries were pretty good and crunchy, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars instead of just 1, and the sketchy wannabe gangsters sitting just a few tables down talking about their friend who just got out of prison didn’t make the atmosphere so great.
