Most of the time when I have to have fancy hair, I do it myself. I like to save my money and being blessed with naturally curly hair, I can generally get away with just throwing it up and pinning it in places…
For some reason, last time I was in a wedding, I decided it was too much effort, so I made an appointment here with a few of the other bridesmaids to get our hair and nails done.
It’s not that they did a bad job, it was alright… but it was nothing special and it was exceptionally expensive! I am used to spending a lot on my hair, but that’s usually for high lights and a haircut and the whole works. This was just a simple updo and a simple manicure. I have no idea why I had to drop so much money on this.
The hair did hold, and it looked alright in pictures, but I still think I could have (and I have) done as good of a job in my own bathroom. I think next time, I will stay at home and do it myself. But if you really aren’t the do it yourself type… well, maybe you will think the cash is worth it.
