Mezzanine is next door boutique Mary Jane’s sophisticated older sister. I love this store and how they have clothing that at first glance seems a bit conservative, but when you look more closely, there’s a saucy secret revealed. Think edgy elegant. For starters they have Melissa shoes, one of my favorite designers of fantastic shoes made of rubber. I have two pairs of them and get stopped on the street by admirers. I also liked the Joe Jeans wall and was impressed by the different styles for different body types and jean preferences out there(so true that there has to be a good jean for every single body). Clothing ranging from dresses to blouses to sweaters, all of it versatile office to evening wear. Check out the array of accessories, scents, candles and more. I strongly recommend stopping in this store to shop for gifts… or to indulge your shopping fancy. I love doing the former, but I just as often succumb to the latter.

What do you do with a little time to kill when you’re visiting a new city from out of town? If you’re me, Colleen C, and Joi B, you go shopping! Somehow we found our way to Mezzanine, and we were all impressed with the selection and friendly service. This is a higher end boutique and along with that comes a higher price point but it wasn’t ridiculous, and there were some sale items as well. Of course, the shoes I found that I really wanted didn’t come in my size… bummer. But I did find a really cute dress that I ended up wearing that night! Gotta love those last minute shopping trips. If you’re in the area and in the mood for a little boutique shopping, stop by Mezzanine(and Mary Jane’s next-door).

I think Mezzanine may just be my fave STL boutique. Wish they had just a bit more merchandise, but what they do have is fab. Alexis Bittar jewelry, Report Signature shoes(I need to come back for the Nude Ellis Pump!), Rachel Pally, Cynthia Vincent… The space is nice and open — and is home to maybe the cutest fitting room I have ever seen(See uploaded pic, complete with an amazing jacket I picked up here). Swoon!

Fabulous and funky! A bit on the pricey end, yes, but so fun to browse. I especially love their wonderful line of real parfum. Gorgeous and elegant! They’ve got an eye on the pulse of fashion and I think you could feel fairly confident buying something and wearing it about, knowing you were one of the cool folks. I saw a dress today in the window that I totally wanted. It practically sung a hymn of summer to me. I might have to go back!

I can’t believe no one’s reviewed Mezzanine yet! This place is the bomb! Often times, St. Louis — along with most of the midwest — is looked at as not having any style, nothing designer and quite boring when it comes to fashion. THISISNOTSO! Anyone wanting big city fashions should stop by Mezzanine. They have some of the most stylish clothing, jewelry and shoes you’re going to find anywhere. They’re nice, their shop is delightful and the prices aren’t more than you’d expect for such glamorous clothing.
