I’ve had the pleasure of having massages from both Kristen(the former massage therapist) and Dawn(the current), and both were among the best I’ve ever had. In addition, Dawn is a physical therapist and personal trainer, sure she’s as skilled in those areas as in massage. It’s very apparent she loves her profession, helping folks feel better, and is passionate about life. I’ve gotten lots of massages, and there’s only a handful of therapists I make it a point to return to. Dawn is tops among that group! My shoulder surgery is next week. The bad news is the rehab is supposed to be long and potentially painful. The good news(which surpasses the bad) is that I will get to experience Dawn’s expertise as a physical therapist too!

I am very disappointed with my first(and most definitely last) experience with zombies. My husband was kind enough to buy me a Groupon for a prenatal massage(I am 6 months pregnant). I had one scheduled for today but had a medical emergency come up and they were unwilling to let me reschedule. I had to miss my appointment and they went ahead and redeemed my Groupon anyways. I understand the importance of keeping appointments, but when the situation is out of my control, you would think the company would try to be more accommodating, especially for a new customer. Now, instead of me coming back and actually redeeming my Groupon, they have lost my business forever and I will make sure to tell my family and friends what happened so they don’t waste their time on such an uncaring and unaccommodating business.

Very personalized care. Great staff– they literally know you by name. Holistic therapy, aside from traditional exercises, they perform manual therapy, electrical stimulation, etc. It wasn’t what I expected, as I’d never had PT before, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’m not kidding. I started off my sessions with heat and electrical stimulation in a darkened room, trickling fountain water, and relaxation music– it was great. All questions were addressed. I was terrified, but the head therapist(Hunter), PT assistant(John), and the graduating doctoral student(Zach– who’s no longer there, because, well, he graduated) were awesome at alleviating those fears. A tip– I think it best bet to work with Hunter, John, or a doctoral student further in their curriculum. Or who ever they’ve hired to supplement the staffing. But student-wise I may have lucked out with a brilliant one, honestly. That aside, the staff works well together, and as a patient, it makes for a welcoming atmosphere. The therapists and office staff develop rapport with patients. Unlike other therapy offices, this may be a less efficient business model(however, it’s a damn good one for patients), but what they do is when you’re assigned to a therapist, someone may assist, yet for the most part, you have the attention of that one therapist or PT assistant(who is still excellent btw) for the duration of your appointment. So the caregiver to patient ratio is basically 1:1 it seems, rather than 1:3. I felt like this made a difference because when I called with problems to my injury, my therapist knew who I was. Working with me, he knew my quirks care-wise and what to look for. Having been forced to go elsewhere due to insurance, I’ll say that my new therapist himself is wonderful, but the business model of the new office is a whole different beast. It feels like an assembly line. If you really want a different experience, that holistic(hence the name Omni) and individualized care, which is crucial if your injury causes anxiety, I’d recommend looking here first. Kudos to Hunter for offering something very different in the healthcare world.
