The only good about this place was the customer service. I should have followed my 1st mind and went to Raising Cane’s. The food was horrible. There was no excuse for my food being room temperature. It was 12 pm. Chicken tenders were heat lamp specials. Biscuit was dry as sand. Fries were another heat lamp special and greasy. For what I paid here, I could have got a drink and Texas toast at Raising Cane’s. Look, I wasn’t expecting great taste, but it should have been hot. Wont be back!

This place is horrible. Literally, every single time I’ve gone there, there’s an issue. Last night, they actually gave me boxes missing food! The employees are rude, management is unqualified, food is never correct.

The company has made major improvements in employee training, and it shows. The customer service at this location is top-notch. My interactions with three different employees on March 3, 2016 were outstanding. Polite, helpful, and concerned about getting orders right. You go!

We’ve been there several times now, and the employees are absolutely wonderful. My child is a huge fan of chicken, and can name who has the best and who doesn’t… which is dry, which is greasy, and which one is perfect. This is now her favorite. The employees make it a great place to go… always friendly and respectful.

I’ve been reading the bad reviews on this page, and they make me wonder if the reviewers have been to the same location I was at. I found the place spotlessly clean, and everyone was friendly to a fault. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Maisha(probably spelling that wrong), who was on duty at about 6:30PM on Friday, October 16, 2015. She treated me and every other customer like we were her best friends — making sure everyone had everything they needed. Great experience!

I asked for a #7 with beans and 2 biscuits and they gave me a shrimp sandwich with nothing on it. When I told them this wasn’t my order, there was a bigger woman who was very rude and told me I needed to go back in line and re-order, it was packed! I was on my lunch break and didn’t have time.

Not the Popeyes closest to home… It’s the location worth driving to The order, here, is always right! Nice people here

They’re rude and need to learn how to be respectful. If you go through the drive-thru, they carry on their conversations while you’re trying to order. You can hear them laughing and talking to their coworkers from the speaker. I had to repeat myself several times because she was talking to someone else and she couldn’t hear me. In the end, she got my order wrong. Plus, she said that there would be a 4 minute wait on the biscuits, and I didn’t get my food about 20 minutes. The food is great but terrible service…

Rude as hell. Went in there one time and they yelled at me «Lobby close!» «lobby close!» Thats literally all they said. I turned around and on the way out the sign on the door said they should be open for another 40 minutes or something like that. Every time you go to this location its something ridiculous that wouldn’t be accepted anywhere else. I have no idea why this one is always like that.

They have been out of things every time we have gone and have given us the wrong order twice. Done with this location. If your lucky and do get your food it is not bad.

Very polite. It’s like a Cajun Chick fila. Staff goes above and beyond to their patrons.

This location is truly the worse Popeye’s I have ever dined at. I only go through the drive thru, as the dining room is just too much for any sane person to handle… Historically, this local has always had the worst staff… this is the reason for the two star review and not a one… the last several times I have gone through the drive thru the staff seems to have gotten better. As far as fried chicken goes, they do have some pretty tasty chicken, but on occasion they let it fry a bit too long… they flavor is there, but trying to bite through over hard breading is just not good! The sides here I tend to pass on… for some strange reason the sides here taste very different(and by different, I mean terrible) from other Popeye’s I’ve dined at. Bottom line… if you are near by and have a taste for some fried chicken… go thru the drive thru, get a two piece and keep it moving!

Sometimes I just need to feed that fried chicken craving. Popeye’s is close to the house but I don’t think I’ve visited them in the past few years. I picked up a two-piece box of their spicy recipe. It came with a biscuit. The food was ok. It satisfied my craving, but I can’t say that I was all that impressed. The batter wasn’t nearly spicy enough for me, and the food seemed to have been made well before I ordered it. One the plus side, the box only cost me a few bucks.

I didn’t know exactly what I needed today, so I went in instead of using the drive-through. Everybody inside, from the cashier to the guy packing up my order, was friendly and accommodating. My son likes the boneless pieces, but I didn’t know they are called tenders. So I got him two 5-piece chicken-only meals. I got an 8-piece chicken-only meal, thinking it will last a few meals. And six biscuits for my son. As he was packing my chicken, he said they were out of wings, and could I accept thighs. ABSOLUTELY! So, I got better pieces, IMO. And now that I’m learning to check the order before leaving, I found only chicken and no biscuits. So, he packed those of up for this hefty bag o’ clucks, and I was on my way. This was entirely too much food. My son can only eat three tenders and two biscuits. Leftovers don’t appeal to him. I ate two pieces of chicken and was stuffed. It was crispy, moist and flavorful chicken. I’ll get a lot less next time.

I would have given them only one star, but the food is really good! I had lunch here today and I ordered the crawfish basket, comes with dipping sauce, biscuit, fries, and a medium drink. There were 3 workers clustered around the register and the girl who was waiting on me was more interested in what everyone else was saying instead of answering my questions and taking my order. Then another girl started to take an order from the guy behind me. The man was very obviously deaf and was looking at the menu. So she starts snapping her fingers at him! Beyond rude! It didn’t take too long to get my food(which was really tasty, by the way), but there was no dipping sauce. When I asked one of the workers for some sauce, she said, «Oh we’re out of the horseradish sauce.» Well why didn’t you tell me that when I ordered and offer me a different sauce? This is not the first time they’ve stiffed me on my dipping sauce. I order the chicken strips all the time and I’m never offered sauce. And they never offer honey, butter, or jelly for the biscuits either. This is the second time I’ve eaten in and had poor service. I’ll give them one more try, but only because it’s the only Popeye’s around.

I know this is heresy to suggest this, but IMHO, this is the best fried chicken in STL, yes, yes, I know the Hodaks lovers will go on and on about the south side insitution, but the chicken here is always juicy and favorful. Now about THIS Popeyes, the regular staff at times seems a little slow and out of it and I’ve had them make mistakes with my order, but the management is very much into customer service and if you have any problems, just ask for the manager and they will very quickly make it right.

Big disappointment, it started out with poor customer service. The staff was just rude, and could careless that we were there. We ordered an 8 piece box with biscuits and large side and an extra large side. Our order was carry out and when we got home, we realized they shorted us our second large side. Then when we opened our box of chicken, 4 of the 8 pieces were legs. Stopping by the next day, to mention the shortage of a large side, we were told we should have come back that same night, that it was to late now. All they had to do is say sorry, and they couldn’t even do that. Our chicken business will be going somewhere else.

After the big party we were all too hungover to try to bbq, so this was the answer. We ordered 40 pieces and some bisquits and they were putting the order together when we got there to pick it up. It all tasted great and was just what we needed!
