Ranoush Hookah and Coffee Lounge

It’s very OK. Subpar service, but I assume this is because they deal with a lot of shit. You have to pay to sit there even if you’re not smoking… seriously? The staff seemed pretty unprepared, unsure of what they were doing… But the hookah was good and it was great getting to sit outside and people watch.

Hookah is reasonably priced and the owner/​server was a pretty nice guy. Only downside is the hours aren’t posted either here or on the door, also seating is not the best. Overall a chill, enjoyable time smoking hookah :)

I was looking for a place to smoke inside on a rainy Wednesday evening. I was a little worried to try this place with only two reviews on Unilocal,but it’s nice. I walked in and got setup with a ready to smoke hookah in under five minutes. At the hosts suggestion I tried the honey hookah.
There are colored party lights going and good music. Not too loud that you couldn’t have a conversation but not quiet either. The hosts were attentive in tending to my coals.
The place doesn’t look like much from the outside but I definitely like it and will be back sometime. Stop in and try it sometime I think you’ll like it.

They don’t even deserve the one star. Zero Custumer satisfaction. When we order hookah they told us to pay first, we didn’t even try the hookah, in my experience never paid prior to smoking /​trying the hookah. But that was fine with me till I saw the people next to our table, they were billed after they are done. The hookah tastes nasty. The chairs are so old u might fell smoking. Servers got attitude all day. just don’t go there. there is a better hookah place two blocks from there, check them out you will be glad u did.

While journeying around the loop looking for some chill spots we ran into this hookah bar. It was a Friday night so busier then normal but didn’t look crowded since I saw a bunch of open tables. There is only 1 true complaint and that was the time it took for service. We were sorting done at least 10 mins before anyone helped us. But once finally helped they were pretty good at taking care of us from that point on. One other complaint that I forgot about is they were out of the first 2 choices of alcohol that I wanted. I was in a dark liquor mood and wanted Hennessy but they didn’t have any on hand and then I was going to go with a draft blue moon and that unavailable as well. So I was a little disappointed with that. But if you want to try something to eat definitely go with some Garlic Bread. It was delicious. I’m not a big middle eastern cuisine fan so I can’t recommend anything else. Oh and last but not least the hookah was good not a huge amount of options but still the basics to be satisfied.

This ‘establishment,’ if you can even call it that, provided me with what is quite possibly my worst experience at a bar/​restaurant/​café/​etc. ever! A true comedy of errors, it was so terrible and ridiculous that I actually joined Unilocal to review it!
First off, my girlfriend and I arrived and ordered waters to start with. Sounds easy right? Water. Just plain simple water. The proprietor — who seemed rather scuzzy and a bit creepy — took our order and directed us to a table outside. A few minutes later he returns with menus and two plastic cups filled with tap water. Luke warm tap water at that! Apparently he was out of bottled water and didn’t feel like asking us if we would want something else. We should have left right then and there, but alas we didn’t.
Then while we were perusing the menu he went back inside to have a cigarette and play on his phone… for a least 5 – 6 minutes. He then comes back and takes our hookah order. 5 minutes later (not sure what took so long) our hookah arrives and he proceeds to sit outside and smoke another cigarette… never mind asking us if we wanted anything else… like another drink considering our cups were empty when he arrived with our hookah.
Then he goes back inside to smoke and play on his phone some more. He then comes out to bring us another coal for our hookah — which had been out for a minimum of 5 minutes — and proceeded to drop coal ash on my leg! His response, you ask: «Oops, my bad.» That’s right, he didn’t even bother to apologize or offer us a discount.
Shortly thereafter, a woman who we didn’t know arrives and sits down nearby. A minimum of 10 minutes after she arrived he comes out and takes her order with a cigarette dangling from his mouth the whole time!
Shortly thereafter the hose to our hookah broke — not sure how, it just came undone –and we decided we had enough of this foolishness and go in to pay. The proprietor then tries to tell us that he doesn’t take credit cards. No matter the fact that he has a sign in the window saying that he does! He actually said he didn’t know how to work the credit card machine and wanted cash!
The only bright spot out of the whole deal was the fact that he said everything was on the house when I told him I had no cash and his store had a sign stating that he accepted credit cards.
Learn from my experience folks, DO NOT GO HERE!
