Pleasantly surprised by dinner here!
I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband ordered the Salmon dish. My Fettuccine bowl was huge, so creamy, and extremely tasty. They put so much chicken in this bowl, I had leftovers for a recreation at home! Tons of juicy chicken, crispy salty bacon pieces, fresh broccoli, and cheese on top. There was a littttle too much fresh ground black pepper, so it seemed like it had a kick to it, but I loved it! This type of dish is best and known to require ground black pepper.
My husbands salmon portion was generous and juicy. Asparagus were fresh and roasted just right. The potato side dish was a little bland but there wasn’t a lot to bother him.
We also ordered a few rounds of beer; drank and ate right at the bar. Good service, relaxing and classy atmosphere, excellent food.
We will be back for sure!

Staying at the Magnolia Hotel for the weekend. This morning we went to Robbie’s and ordered breakfast. It was really good! And, not expensive. Yesterday we ate off of the complimentary breakfast. It was okay. The only hot food they had was oatmeal. They always have a complimentary wine and beer hour in the evening. That’s really nice too. All of the wait staff has been very accommodating. The next time I’m in St Louis, I would like to stay at the Magnolia again. And even if I don’t, at least I know I can come eat at Robbie’s.

I came here since I stayed at the Magnolia for a conference. The hotel offered continental breakfast and a cocktail hour which was quite nice. The waiters and waitresses were very hospitable and cheerful. The bartender there was very friendly and talkative. Food was good and drinks were okay. If you are nearby or here for a vacation then this place is good.

Went in for a good ‘ol bowl of oatmeal but I don’t do breakfast bar buffet style oats so I grabbed a table and decided on a pancake — à la carte.
They came as a three stack but I only wanted 1 blueberry, no butter, no syrup and the chef was gracious enough to oblige. Pancake was superb! Nice and fluffy and tasty and moist and succulent and ok… you get the gist.
Service was super pleasant.
Restaurant was just as chic and comfortable as the rest of the hotel.
I’ll be back for dinner and wine.

Cons: I ordered an omelette with broccoli, onion, mushroom, and avocado. The omelette itself was too brown on the outside and the broccoli and onion were not cooked – at all. That was my main meal so very disappointed. Maybe it was my fault for getting an omelette for dinner.
Pros: 1) sweet potato fries were good – very fried, good seasoning, nice crunch and slight sweetness. Also no complaints on the red wine. 2) service was great – gave me extra ketchup, salt, pepper, and very friendly. Quick service but would have appreciated extra time on cooking the veggies. 3) beautiful ambience with florescent light up bar table
The main issue was my omelette, but I’d come here just for drinks if I’m back in St. Louis at some point.

Robie’s is a great place for any meal. I am partial to their tomato bisque and Mayfair salad, which has generous portions of chicken, avocado as well as all the other toppings. Most importantly, they have a wonderful bartender and server named Rob who keeps me coming back! I love having a glass of wine, lunch and sitting at the bar chatting with him. He is kind, attentive and fun to talk to.
I took away one star because I’m disappointed the management has yet to offer a discount to their neighbors in the Tower at OPOP apartments which are connected to the hotel and even share a private entrance to and from each building. It would be a great addition that would bring more business by reaching out to the local community.
In the meantime, I’ll keep my limited «lunch with Rob» dates, hoping that at some point the gesture of welcome via an invitation to dine with a discount is extended. I guarantee you we and other neighbors would be there much more often we had even a small incentive!

This place is awesome. In the Magnolia hotel in St. Louis, the bar is really great, the bartender, Chris, was awesome, and the food outstanding! So far I’ve just had, for lunch, the turkey club with a side salad but I have to say the sandwich was OUTSTANDING, delicious turkey, bread, mayo, great bread, and the salad was so fresh, little cut-​up pieces of cucumber, great fresh greens, and the dressing was delicious, it was a really nice mild caesar dressing. Really glad we got the salad instead of fries («Mayfair» dressing was the salad dressing). I was VERY impressed with both the food and service quality, and the ambiance here is great, really nice bar, fluorescent bartop. pretty setting. Will definitely be back for more meals! Awesome!
