REVIEWOFTHESTUDIOAPARTMENT. I moved to STL last summer for a 3 month internship. I was living out of state at the time and needed to find an apartment ready to move into without being able to view the place. Jessie and Amy were super helpful in answering my questions and helping arrange my rental. So about the studio itself… Rent is around $ 450 but since I was there short term there was an extra fee so it was $ 510/month and this included electricity, water and AC. The studios are on the back side of the complex, with the door opening to the floor level. The smaller studio option sleeping space was probably about the size of 2 full beds. There is no microwave, but a pretty decent fridge size and the stove/oven top is adequate. The bathroom ceiling was pretty low. The girl in the neighboring studio said she had cockroaches but I did not. The wood in front of her place was rotting though. The AC is a wall unit and if you turn it off, the room heats up pretty quick. The complex has a weight room with treadmill, bike, pull bar but no free weights. You can rent DVDs from the lobby which is pretty cool and they hold your package deliveries. The laundry room has a lot of machines and there was never anyone there when I went. The complex seems pretty safe… there are families with kids living there. WOULD I LIVEHEREAGAIN? No. This place was just a means to an end and I would not wish to relive my time there. Then again, this was just my experience with the studio and it was balls hot when I was there. I have no idea what the 1 and 2 bedrooms are like. Plus side is that all utilities were covered in the rent. * Side note: when looking online at this place, I thought there was going to be a pool but it turns out that the pool is at their sister complex further down Manchester. You can use that pool, but it looked dingy and dirty.
