The coffee and specialty drinks were fine, and yes it’s New Year’s Day and any employee would want to be home today, BUT I’m still giving this Starbucks a 2-star rating because of the barista who served my group. She informed us that they would be closed in 20 minutes and we assured her that we wouldn’t keep her past closing. She was very snippy with us as she rang us up and then«accidentally» forgot to give my friend her $ 20 gift card back after she used it to buy a drink. My friend saw the barista pocket the card and asked to see if it was her gift card, but the barista said, «i don’t think this is yours.» Needless to say, it was.

A Starbucks without Cold Brew is like Mac without Cheese; senseless! Dropped in this morning for a cool drink. I waited at the counter unattended for nearly 5 minutes while the only visible employee made drinks. He glanced over after a while and said he’d be right with me. I continued to wait… wait… wait… I was the only customer in line by the way. Eventually a young lady appeared out of the back and asked what she could get for me. When I asked for a Cold Brew she stated they were out which blew my mind. How on earth does Starbucks not have Cold Brew on-hand at 10am??? This is a clear cut case of poor store management. I won’t be returning to this location no matter how desperate I may be for my caffeine fix; this says a lot about my level of disappointment.

Honestly, I have never been a fan of Starbucks coffee, it always tastes like the beans were way over roasted. The service was not only slow and unfriendly, they even opened up late on more than one occasion. The only reason I kept coming back was the fact that it was in the hotel we were staying in and I needed my coffee.

I have been to this Starbucks at three different timeframes in the past year — all for about four days in length each visit. I’ve never had a bad experience, despite the very long line to make my order. The baristas are very quick in delivery and stay in control despite the stress of a long line. I have only been here during a time of a large audience conference, so I’m not sure how the service is on a less busier day. With the Starbucks being so close to the Dome, I can’t imagine them not being busy nearly all the time. The gift card system has not been working each time I have been here. I feel certain that they have just gave up on the system at this location. While this isn’t a problem for me, it definitely could be for others out there.

This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. The service is horrific and they can’t even make a basic frap. The employees are rude and impatient and it’s obvious they don’t like their jobs. Marriott and Starbucks should be embarrassed to have their brands associated with this location. It would be worth your while to walk to the location on Olive. This store is a waste of lobby space in an otherwise decent hotel.

This is the Starbucks that made me stop going to Starbucks forever. The only reason it gets one star is because they serve up a drink that sort of tastes like what you would get at a regular Starbucks. This is not a company owned store, it is owned by the Renaissance Hotel. Because of that they don’t have to follow all of the rules. They take your Starbucks card on the rare occasion when they are processing machine is working, but they do not take payments with the mobile app or redeem rewards offers. For example, they don’t keep the hours that they post on their door, sometimes closing early in the afternoon. You pay about a 20 percent premium on everything you buy in the store because it’s not a company owned location and hotels can charge whatever they want. One other thing I’ve noticed over the last few months is that the same drink can be a different price depending on what day it is and who is running the cash register. I don’t know if that’s bad training or something more nefarious. Regardless, this is a poor example of a Starbucks and there are other places in the neighborhood to get coffee, including the company owned store on Olive Street. My advice, stay away from this location. Its an insult to the Starbucks brand.

This Starbucks sucks. They won’t take your rewards or coupons AND their prices are way higher. I recommend the coffee shop around the block. Very nice guys.

I have an apartment almost next door, so I thought I’d go down for my birthday to get my free birthday coffee. Well, they don’t accept Starbucks rewards… meaning no birthday coffee for me here. Also, the employees were not very nice, definitely not your regular Starbucks employee. I turned right around and walked out. Go 3 blocks down to the next Starbucks, where they accept rewards and the employees are awesome.

It was 7:38 am on a Friday, so of course there was a line. I expected as much. But the baristas were telling everyone that the only size they had was grande, yet when I got to the register, I had the option of getting a tall coffee.(??) Then I was told the giftcard system was down, and the ONLY reason I went to Starbucks that morning(which is an extremely rare occurrence) was to earn a star bonus. I inquired about if I could still get a star for the transaction, and the cashier told me not to worry about it, just enter the receipt info online. A bit of searching later that night and NOPE. Had to swipe the giftcard, which I was hiding at the time of the transaction. She could have just swiped the card, I could have still paid by some other means and gotten my stars. Instead I get to feel like this *$‘s employee lied to my face. To add insult to injury, my coffee cup had WAY too much room for cream. I ordered a 12 oz and barely got 9. Never coming back. There’s another location a few blocks away on Olive.

First mistake was obviously going to this Starbucks when there are plenty of awesome coffee shops within walking distance, but anyway… the service was the worst. No eye contact and made me act like I was a problem and a burden. Don’t Easter your time Take a nice downtown walk over to Park Ave coffee or drive to Kaldis Coffee

Starbucks needs to re think their strategy with license stores. This one is owned by the hotel. They do not half to keep the same standards as real starbucks. I work at one and they don’t offer employee discounts and they don’t have a scanner to use the card on your phone. What is a simple transaction on corporate owned pos systems becomes a line creating disaster Did I mention the employees are rude? Stay away from any«starbucks» in hotels, hospitals, targets, ect

Good coffee. But customer service can be better. And fix your machines so I can scan my iPhone next time instead of making me read off the numbers… First world problems

8÷10÷136:45PMTHEEWORSTSERVICEEVER! The sign at the door says this Starbucks is open until 8PM The chic«taking» my order yelled out«we ain’t got no tea to make that drinK…» before I even finished ordering. I asked for something else and she yelled out, «we close at 7». I pointed out the posted schedule and she continued to yell something about depending on how business was that day they were closing early. There were at least 6 people there and 5 others behind me. She asks what I wanted and noticed I had my Starbucks app ready and yells(yes, she yelled the whole time), «we don’t have a scanner for that!!!», walks to the other end of the counter and yells at the top of her lungs«WEARECLOSED, YOUGUYSNEEDTOLEAVE!!!», throws whatever she had in her hands into the sink, turns the lights off and walks away mumbling some profanity. Angry much? Oh, she did say«have a nice day». For that, she gets a star.

Yes a starbucks.(Natalie F. is sneering at Zumbar right now). But what can I say? I’m an addict with snobbish tendencies. And this Starbucks was good for me. I was at a conference in this hotel, and this starbucks serviced me extensively. There were giant lines that curled in the small space, but the staff were quick and worked through the line efficiently. my only problem was that the fruit that they had looked miserable and about to rot. Perhaps it’s because i’m from california and it’s the midwest… But man. it was kind of gross, and worse, it was still expensive :(.

Pains me to give such a low rating, but customer service was poor, product average, and as a passionate coffee drinker, it was almost pathetic to even stay for any length of time. Wifi was spotty, and to top it off, an employee began dusting right over my head as I was drinking my coffee. I left. Baristas were loud and not very friendly. Starbucks: you can do much better. I know you can. Fail.

Note: I came here Thanksgiving Day so my review might be a little… bleh. Basically there are 2 things about this place. It’s expensive and the customer service sucked. The girl taking our order didn’t even smile and very grumpily said«i’ll take the next order.» I get it, it’s Thanksgiving Day but nobody has Thanksgiving dinner at 8am, so cheer up. We were not the only people there to experience the negative customer service. Also, I don’t want you thinking I’m an ammeter when it comes to Starbucks because I am a regular(with a gold card, cough) so I know what a standard mocha costs. The places here are at least 50 cents more expensive.

This is inside the hotel, so it’s convenient if you are staying there. The place is mobbed in the morning, but like most Starbucks, they work quickly and always have a smile.
