Excellent food and great customer service. Prices are a little high but worth it. The east coast fries and sauce louie are delicious! That cheese sauce is amazing!

After having lunch from the food truck — which I enjoyed for the post part — I noticed my credit card charge was for about $ 2 more than what it should have been. I was not given the opportunity to tip or to sign the iPad, which appeared to use a Square device. I posted to the Steak Louie Facebook page, indicating that the sandwich and fries were good, but wondering about the extra charge. They replied, indicating that not only do they charge a dollar extra for cheese(on a *cheese*steak? After all, the tagline is «A better cheesesteak, Louie’s Way») but that they also charge an extra dollar to use your credit card. This is over a 10% surcharge to use a credit card, depending on the size of your meal! To my knowledge, that’s not even allowed by credit card companies, and if it is, it shouldn’t be. But moreso, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so to speak, that it just so happens that they don’t require a signature, thus hiding the unexpected extra charges. I mean, who is going to ask if the cheese is included on a cheesesteak sandwich, or if there is a fee to use a credit card? No, neither charge is printed on the menu, which otherwise does list prices: (Notice the cheeses are listed in the upper right, and sandwiches include«your choice of cheese and toppings») Sorry, that shows a lack of respect and honesty. And I avoid dishonest businesses as much as possible.

Don’t waste your time or money. Went to their food truck tonight. Everything was so busy and hectic they handed us food and change all at once and moved on to the next customer. I understand they were busy but with our hands full we had to walk away and put our stuff down only to realize this wad of change she gave us was short $ 10. You also can’t subtract anything from the sandwich(like peppers or mushrooms) because it’s all mixed together. So on top of it being overpriced they rip you off and steal your money also.

I don’t know. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, and I hate to give them a bad review if it was, but when my co-workers and I hit Steak Louie, it took FOREVER. Literally, we were in line for over an hour. The only reason we waited it out was a «well, we’ve waited THIS long already…» mentality. The food was ok, but nothing could have been good enough for that kind of wait. Super bummed and don’t plan on returning. I can’t take the timing risk of needing to work around another hour and a half lunch break.

All I can say is yummmmm!!! The steak hoagie was delicious. I wanted to get another but the line was too long to wait again. Sandwich was delicious… I do a have a few gripes… but the taste of the sandwich will not let me rate any lower lol false advertisement… their menu says fresh cut fries and chips… no way… frozen crinkle cuts… at least today when they came to my job. And I also don’t like that they put your toppings at the bottom… lettuce and hots as it made the sandwich hard to split in half… which they don’t do so if you don’t have a knife… it is definitely a production to eat. But I definitely recommend it

After hearing all the good things everyone had to say I made it a point to track down this food truck. I had the loaded and fried louie(fries topped with black angus strip loin and a cheese sauce of your choice). While this may not sound like a lot trust me it is a big portion for the $ 5.39 you pay. The seasoning on the fries was perfect and the beef was amazingly tender.

Long lines at the Faust park food truck event on a sunny and warm Thursday evening. They make our sandwiches to order. They’re hot. Fresh. Delicious. This truck had one of the longest lines of all the trucks. Got the steak Louie and east coast fries. Did not disappoint. Filling. Good value. Very tasty. There is a good amount of steak. Chose provolone but you have options. Plenty of onions and mushrooms and you can add other toppings. East coast fries are deceiving delish. Fries are crispy and light. The cheese sauce is like crack. Can’t get enough. Surprisingly the overall meal was not too greasy. Highly recommend checking out this truck!

Definitely a great food truck — one of the best experiences I have had by far. I ordered their Chick Louie, which is basically a chicken philly plus some additional toppings you get to pick. I got mine with the all the vegetables and the black pepper aioli. No matter what sandwich you get, make sure you get the aioli — I can’t believe how much this simple sauce adds to the sandwich. Just a little kick and creaminess at the same time. I did think the prices were a little steep — $ 9 for a sandwich and I don’t even get to sit down? But you really get your money’s worth. I was starving before I had the sandwich and I could barely eat half. Looks like I had dinner too! Definitely a great addition to the food truck scene :)

I got the Bacon Chic and I must say that it was pretty huge. I believe they use 8″ rolls and it’s full of ingredients, so the amount of food that you receive is great. The sandwich could have been seasoned a little better, and the chips should have been seasoned LESS(very salty). Also the bacon was fairly flavorless and a bit stringy. Overall I’d give them 3 stars.

Best foodtruck I have had yet in STL. The sandwiches are HUGE and always smothered and covered. If you wanna save about 5 bucks get the loaded fries basically the sandwich on seasoned Louie Fries.

The Sauced Louie is excellent. Their prices are high $ 8 – 9, but I feel like you get your money’s worth. The portions are right for the price(especially when compared to other food trucks). I’ve had it a few time at my office and will always get it when they stop by.

This relatively new food truck on the STL scene serves up a delicious and generous cheese steak in traditional Angus beef or chicken. For between $ 8 – 12, depending on your desire for a side, you’ll be satisfactorily stuffed and ready for a nooner. According to Louie’s chef Paul Listenberger, who you’ll meet and chat with when you visit his truck, these are definitely NOT«Philly» cheese steaks, but«A Better Cheese Steak, Louie’s Way.» Whatever that means, I’m a big fan. You can get yours made to order with any number of extras added or go more traditional. I chose the«Without» which means I didn’t get the lettuce, tomato and mayo. Instead I added the«Hots» which was a chopped cherry pepper relish. Your choice of cheese(Provolone, American, Pepper Jack, Aged Cheddar or Baby Swiss)…I went traditional Provolone. The flavor took me straight back to the east coast when I used to stumble around Philly or D.C. and nosh on all manner of late-night food truck fare. I didn’t order the side of fries because I didn’t know I could have had a free coupon by visiting their facebook page, hint hint, but instead I got some very nicely done homemade chips. Yum! I’ve never personally added bacon to my cheese steak, but if that’s your thing, it’s on the menu. I’m going out on a limb and predicting that the«Bacon Chic Louie» is phenomenal. You can find them on facebook or at the website provided and when you do you’ll see the locale of the day and the next two days out. They’re typically at City Park or Barnes area and I found them near Spruce and Tucker by the federal building. Link to menu: Enjoy!
