This place is a little hole in the wall. Well, kinda. I came here today with a coworker for lunch. The lady who took our order happened to be the cook. She brought out this delicious hot water cornbread(looks likes mini pancakes but made with cornmeal). This is my first foray into soul food. Let me tell you I wasn’t disappointed. I had the rotisserie chicken with baked sweet potato & potato salad. The baked sweet potato came with butter that had brown sugar & cinnamon I believe. Anyways, the food was delicious! The chicken was moist & tender. The cook made her soul food healthy(low salt). The food had the right amount of seasonings. The food definitely wasn’t bland. The price was just about right. The service was amazing! There was the typical soul food offerings(fried chicken, blackeyed peas, collard greens, etc.). I will definitely come back & try some other things on the menu.
