Great place to take the whole family for Sunday brunch. Owner Milan spotted us on the walkway with parents and walkers in tow. He immediately directed us to a back entrance complete with ramp. Our server promptly took our drink order. Unlimited Bloody Mary bar was complete with wide variety of hot sauce, pure horseradish, crudités, and my favorite Zing Zang mix. They were not stingy on the Kentucky vodka. Owner Chef Louis went over the buffet with obvious pride. First table included bacon, variety of sausages, grits, biscuits and gravy, and two types of strata. The omelet station had delicious warm sticky buns. The carving station had a delicious moist pork tenderloin served with horseradish or a sweet sauce. Both were manned by super fun and friendly guys. My plates were full by the time I got to the entrée section. My sister raved about the red cabbage. She wants the recipe! Chef Louis shared much of the history of the mill. So colorful and interesting. My parents loved it!

We used a groupon to check out this location. We made reservations, but when we arrived, the hostess did not have us on her list. She still seated us however, but only because they were not full yet. Great dining experience in this historic building! Very cool and different. The menu items on the buffet were phenomenal and they offered a wide variety of options. We tried a variety of new germanic foods, however we had the option of more traditional breakfast items as well. The dessert table was outstanding and the coffee was phenomenal. The owner of the restaurant came by several times to see how we were doing and to encourage us to try more menu items. The service was phenomenal. We had an excellent time and unique dining experience.

LOVED it! We wouldn’t have known about this place if we hadn’t found it on groupon, but we are definitely going back. The owner and chef, Milan was so kind. He kept coming back to talk about all the dishes and apparently he cooks a lot of the pastries himself! I won’t say every single item tasted stellar but they can certainly hold their own. Breakfast had all the usual stuff plus a meat/veggie quiche kinda thing. They were all good but the omelette station was brilliant! Unfortunately, my husband and I are not heavy meat eaters and the lunch selection was okay but we liked all the pasta salads and smoked salmon. Desserts are what appealed to us the most. The peach cobbler an cheese pastry were fantastic. Some of them were too sweet for our palate but overall very good. Our waiter was very courteous and we had a thoroughly good time. It is kinda expensive at $ 30/person plus tip, so groupon comes handy.

We had a large party and received excellent service. The service was excellent and the food was great. I was surprised by the extensive options. So many restaurants have scaled back on their brunch. They had French bread French toast, waffles, shrimp, salmon, and much more. The desert buffet was huge and they even had cronuts. I had a feeling of being pampered and that was such a pleasant surprise considering it was a casual brunch. I highly recommend.

Poor management begins with their terrible hostess. She will greet you and mark you down for your table. She’ll even take down your Groupon info and write it next to your name. But then she quickly forgets who you are, why you are there, and seats local neighbors ahead of you with the most insincere apology. Do not go! Its not worth it even with the Groupon offer. The nice reviews you see here are out-dated. Take your family somewhere nice. Someplace where the business casual attire is enforced and you don’t have to observe Daisy Duke in her flip-flops parading around infront of your small children. Another Unilocal reviewer mentioned to let this STL tradition die in peace. Yes, a very good suggestion to Mr. Milan.

This is a late review. We went to the Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet and paid full price for six people. After we got there we found out there was a Groupon for much less. There were probably 100 people seated in the main dining room. They had 1 person making omletes to oder, you can imagine the wait was not worth it. The menu said shrimp and crab legs, which they did have. The shrimp were not deveined or peeled and there was no utensil to break the crab legs. The premade food on the buffet was so-so and the desserts were mainly inedible. We got burned. I think we paid $ 60.00 a person for a terrible meal and bad service. NEVERAGAIN. DONOTGOTHERE. Let this old landmark die in piece.

These guys catered our wedding. They are the catering company associated with Bevo Mill. It was absolutely incredible. The administration is kind and personable. The food and service were both fantastic. I would hire them again in a heart beat. Very reasonable price and great food!

The bar was set so high by our experience at Bevo Mill, that everything else will fail in comparison. Pace yourself, everything is fresh, well prepared, and the service is top notch. We used a groupon, but we will be back, as the entire experience was worth full price. The beef schnitzel was a wonderful surprise, that will bring us back very soon. Don’t wait for a special occasion, this is worth a date night out.

Nice variety for Easter Brunch. Awesome variety of desserts. Given the big crowd and staggered seating for Easter(only 3 seatings @ 10, noon, &2), the lines for breakfast were too long, as everyone at the 10AM seating rushed to the breakfast line first. The omelette station was very good, as you pick out the type and quantity of fillings yourself. Good variety of breakfast items, but the lunch side of the buffet was even better. I’ve never seen at Gyro station before — good option. Prime rib was good, but I prefer medium rare & it was cooked more than that. Service was very good. The staff was obviously well prepared for the big holiday crowd.

A couple years ago, I brought my family here for Easter brunch, when they were visiting from out of town. It was the first time there for all of us, and we were very impressed. The buffet is HUGE, and filled with foods to satisfy every eater in the family. They regularly have Sunday brunch Groupon specials, and I’ve been back several times since, with girlfriends, to take advantage of those deals. Besides being a beautifully restored space, the staff is fantastic. They cater to your every need, and make sure you are taken care of, and happy with your experience. It’s a great place for a special Sunday meal with family, or a casual brunch with friends!

I used my Groupon and went to Sunday brunch and throughly enjoyed my visit. They have a great variety between breakfast and lunch. As well as a great variety between American and German. Yes, I did have sauerkraut and I loved it. Today they had pork tenderloin instead of prime rib. It had good flavor but I was looking forward to prime rib. The fried chicken wasn’t as good but overall I enjoyed the food. The bottomless Mimosas was fantastic. I much prefer Bevo Mill brunch over the Chase Park Plaza Hotel brunch and Bevo Mill is $ 40 cheaper. Service was great. Mike took good care of our table. I will be back.

The brunch was amazing! So many choices it was almost overwhelming, haha! Donna, our waitress suggested«strategizing» and that was great advice. She was awesome and never allowed my bottomless mimosa to actually become«bottomless»! Katie

Had brunch today with a groupon. Beautiful restaurant nice brunch, wouldn’t take much to make it a very nice brunch. Service was good food was good. Downfall was they advertise prime rib but substitute eye of round which is sliced thin but was very chewy and tough, they also feature weinerschnitzel but did not have it. Very disappointing to drive a half hour to a German buffet and not get what you are expecting. Would have been nice to see more hot vegetables, like greenbeens or sauteed mushrooms to go with all the meat and cold salads. Also would have been nice to see bratwurst, maybe local G&W, to go with a German buffet. This could be a grand St Louis tradition and heritage with a few tweeks.

Gosh, I really don’t know what to make of this place… The staff is so unbeliveably nice and accomodating, but I left feeling as though the brunch was not worth the price tag… Unlimited Mimosas and Brunch for just over $ 40(inclusive of tax & nice tip) Let’s start with the dessert table… everything that has Strawberry Mousse should be done away with. The taste of fake strawberry is just not my thing. Can’t say that there was anything that was exceptionally good on the dessert table, which was pretty disappointing, because there were so many options. In terms of the food… there were a lot of options, but nothing really stood out as being«great». The bacon was good. Everything else was pretty reminiscent of a hotel buffet. I totally get that they are trying to appeal to a broad range of tastes and due to the sheer size of the restaurant they should, however I’d rather see them do better with fewer items than just okay with so many items. Some of the specialty item sounded amazing, but after trying them they missed the mark some way or another, be it lack of flavor, temperature or texture. I shouldn’t go to a place like this and only be looking forward to a good omelette! I also would not order the bottomless mimosas again, which had more orange juice than champagne… every glass brought over total looked and tasted as if it was pure orange juice. I am usually good for about two at any other restaurant, but I literally had five and gave up! Again the staff is nothing short of amazing, but the food could use a little fine-tuning.

Sunday Brunch… all things considered, probably best around. Other places may have a slightly better bloody mary bar, others might have better food. This one puts it all together. A wedding reception may have spoiled my visit… I’ll be back soon with an update.

Absolutely wonderful(wedding reception review): My(now) wife and I were hosted by the Bevo Mill for our wedding reception in early June, and, from start to finish, it was a wonderful evening. The venue itself is the foremost reason we selected Bevo; it’s absolutely gorgeous on a normal day, and for the actual reception itself, they really decked the place out(I would check out their website for fantastic examples from previous weddings held there). Also, for potential brides and grooms, I would suggest you arrive and hour or so before reception start-time to make use of the outdoor architecture — we got some very memorable shots out of it. The main room was able to accommodate just around 200 folks without fail or discomfort(with the added options of below rooms too, which was very pretty as well), and I’ve since been inundated with comments from family and friends alike on how enjoyable the evening was. I won’t get too far into the specifics regarding the food, but needless to say, it was phenomenal, and we left for the dance floor feeling waaaay more than satisfied. When throwing a reception, open bar always helps. Though the line looked long at times, the dual-bartender system(at rushes) never took more than a few minutes to navigate. Of course, as groom, I got to cut in line whenever I walked by(which is pretty sweet — sorry for the line jumping, grandpa). Of course, the waitstaff was always there to help too. Price-wise, we were able price-out more expensive and less expensive venues, but it was a solid deal. It won’t break the bank by any stretch of the imagination, . Thanks to Milan, Morgan, Jaclyn, and the rest of the staff at Bevo for a great night. It couldn’t have gone any better, and I’m sure we’ll see you soon at brunch — and, hopefully, future receptions.

Second visit … just as awesome as the first! The staff was helpful and funny! If you haven’t been … you should make reservations and go! It will NOT be my last! If you purchase and use the Groupon it was easy and painless. Thank you again for an enjoyable brunch, my family enjoyed it too!

Went here again last month. I can’t describe particular food… it’s all a haze. It was fantastic, though. I ate so much that I wanted to cry. Not because it hurt, but because I just got to feeling emotional being that full. My friend and I felt like taking a nap after we departed. It was so good! And I guess I go there often enough that a chef recognized me. Lol. I plan to see you again soon, Bevo Mill.

Whoa, look at these bad reviews! Did I come on a good day? My mother had a craving for an all you can eat brunch buffet. Oh mom. With a little Unilocaling, we made our way to Bevo Mill. We came in early, I suppose, but asked if we had reservations. Of course not, but I’ll keep it in mind since there were plenty of seating. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of food they had to offer. As you make your way counter clock wise from the breakfast station to lunch, you kinda get a little of everything. Here’s to name a few: Breakfast: waffles, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and my favorite — build your own omelet. Lunch: Broiled salmon(whole!), variety of sausages, roast beef, baked chicken, fried chicken, macaroni salad, mashed potatoes, rice. I can’t even remember all. Desserts: pies, pies, pies, and cakes. This, however, I cannot rave about. My main complaint was that most of them were melting away into a puddle. Poor pies. So I played it safe and had tons of fruit They also have bottomless mimosas had a bloody mary station. As I said, pleasantly surprised. This is from my perspective, and I’d probably come again. Ps. expect to pay 25ish dollars per person(sorry that wasn’t accurate, I didn’t pay).
