Stopped in for lunch while in St. Louis. We movEd to the southwest 10 years ago and don’t get to the Pasta House nearly as often as we would like. Our server, Tina, was very efficient and friendly. We started with an appetizer of toasted ravioli and fried artichoke hearts. Fabulous. The salad is always great. What we really came for was the Chicken Flamingo. My husband and I both love this entrée. It was just a delicious as I remembered!

This was a ridiculous experience. My mother and arrived at 11:55 am this Sunday. Hannah greeted us then stepped in the bar to speak to Adam Litrell(manager). Adam sent her out to ask that we wait for more servers shifts to start. He came out from the bar and said he wanted lighten the load on his current server. The dining room looked moderately full with many empty tables. We asked if we could sit while waiting for Brandy to start her shift. We sat waiting for a few minutes and asked Adam why we could just put our order in. He became more flustered, less cordial and increasingly short. It was clear he was taking his frustration out on the customers for either poor scheduling or call-ins. This is completely inappropriate especially for a manager. He regrettably took our order without writing it down and we observed him angrily throw the menus down as he walked into the other room. We then observed as he walked around. 10 minutes has passed from our original«five minutes for brandy to get here». We still did not have our salads or rolls. Clearly he just took our order to shut us up and was waiting for brandy to come in and put our order in. So he said he would do one thing and then lied so he could continue to do what he wanted. We decided that we would dine at a place where our business was actually appreciated. We left and asked for his name and the owners. I will be contacting Kim Tucci and Joe Fresco 314−535−6644 regarding Mr. Litrell’s complete lack of customer service and rude behavior. In the dining room a large group of multiple families 15+ people had been waiting. I told everyone in the dining room about our experience. We all decided as a group to move our parties to Rich & Charlie’s and Golden Corral. So that’s what happened. Pasta House we understand you were short-staffed. Wouldn’t it have been great if your manager had actually rolled up his sleeves and pitched in to make your day easier and prevent the loss of income experienced by the company from his terrible management.

Our family loves the Pasta House! Have been to 3 different locations and all have been great. For some reason I pretty much always get The Big Salad. It is fantastic. My girls switch between the cheese pizza and the kids ravioli’s. They love both. Hubby has tried the meatball sanny(fantastic, but order with extra sauce), and various pastas. We have never been disappointed. Whenever we are out and about and aren’t sure where to eat, this is a good choice. We all love it and we know what to expect!

Ah, the Pasta House. A Saint Louis staple! I live in California now, and I have to admit that there’s something very comforting about the pasta house that I miss when I am a couple thousand miles away. Their food is very good. It’s definitely worth what you pay for it. The pasta con broccoli is my favorite– delicious broccoli and mushrooms in tasty little shells and a creamy white sauce. Awesome. Their toasted ravioli(can’t get that in California) is so good that I will actually eat meat for these babies! Oh, toasted ravioli, I do love you. Their service is always pretty good(I’ve had great service there a few times, too!), and their restaurant is always very clean. You have to get the house salad. Those of you that swear by the Olive Garden have no idea what you’re missing if you skip this. Multiple how much you love the Olive Garden’s salad by about fifty and you’ll get how much you love this salad. THIS is the salad I crave while away. THIS is the salad I dream about. Hey Pasta House, will you ship me some of your dressing? Pasta House, please never change. You remind me of my childhood. Whenever I come here it’s like a nice, warm hug. With heaps of delicious food on the side. The one restaurant I make sure to go to when I’m visiting.

I’ve been visiting Pasta House for years. Chicken Marsala has always been my go to here. The lunch prices are quite a bit cheaper so that’s when I usually go. Their salads here are good as well as the minestrone soup. I actually stopped in this location this month to see a friend and catch up. The chicken marsala wasn’t on point as I remembered however the staff was awesome. They didn’t mind taking pictures of my friend and I and they were also very sweet to her little boy. The restaurant was the same as I remembered it and still clean. They have a small parking lot to the right side of the building.

I have been visiting this location for years. We always receive enjoyable service. Our food is hot, on time, and fairly priced. If we have a modification in our order, there’s never a hesitation to help.

I went in today with the children that I nanny(4 year old girl and 9 month old boy). It was my first time going anywhere with both of them at the same time by myself and was nervous about how everything would work. All of the staff was amazing. They all stopped to talk with the kiddos and me while we were waiting on our food, one of the waiters sat with our car seat, diaper bag, and food while I took the kids to the bathroom when the older one had to go. Our waiter even brought me a hot bowl soup when he noticed that mine had gotten cold while I was feeding the baby. It was a perfect experience and I’m so grateful to everyone who was there today.

What can one add to The Pasta House that hasn’t been said, since it’s such a St. Louis institution. So… this review may be short, but hopefully worth your while. In no particular order of importance: 1. They don’t take reservations for parties of 8 or less… bummer since they can have lines on weekends. 2. The tables are spaced out well, good Italian ambience. 3. The food really is superior, and my 3 stars is probably 3 ½ stars. I always get the grilled salmon. It’s like a little secret. Who goes to «The Pasta House» and orders Salmon /: — |? But it is really good, thick, flaky, perfectly pink. Buttery, hint of caper? sauce. Wife had seafood ravioli. Big pieces in a rich cream sauce that is that«stucco» color. Very good. Daughter had Rigatoni Carbonara pasta cooked perfect al dente, not mushy, good bacon taste and richness of egg-in Alfredo cream came through. Excellent. Salads are as always the famous Italian pasta house signature. I don’t have to tell you about. Damn fresh, damn crisp. Damn good! 4. Reading the above, you are probably wondering why not 4 stars(as am I). Here’s why. Pasta House is deceptively expensive, I think. Entrees are in the high teens, and some don’t include the salad! Also, while the service is decent, there is something about having teenagers/near teenagers be your waiters at those prices that doesn’t seem quite right. Our bill for a nice Sunday lunch with eight people and no alcohol, was $ 165 after tip. I guess not THAT bad.($ 20/person lunch). Bottom line. It’s The Pasta House. We know it. We like it. It’s more expensive than people think. Get the Salmon if you like Salmon. Hope this helped. John

Every time my husband and I eat here we leave happy. The service is great. Managers are always coming by to check on things. They have specials on drinks and a full bar. The food is great. I have tried all different items but I love the potatoes. Monday nights they have all you can eat pasta. It’s delicious.

Love to eat out alot of evenings with two dear neighbors. .. and we were heading to mutual friends in South County and wanted Italian food in South County prior to getting to their home. We decided to stop at Pasta House Company at 6214 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Service was great, considering it was a busy Saturday evening. I ordered the fetticini carbonara dish and it was VERY tasty and delicious. Did not order salad and it appeared that others at the table were VERY satisfied with their dish. Our server was prompt and kept our drinks refilled quite often. Rolls in the basket always make me think of Alice in Wonderland, but they were good. Not a big fan of chain restaurants, but Pasta House in South County was surprisingly delicious.

with all the amazing Italian restaurants, in St. Louis The Pasta House is pretty average, honestly, with that, Its such a split review, I was here recently and the service was horrible, and was pretty surprised. I came back today for lunch with family and Tina was amazing and so nice, the service was excellent! The chicken parmigano was delicious and tried the meat lovers pizza which was also really great. I like the lunch specials because they come with the Pasta House salad. I think the one night we got terrible service was probably a oversight, but the service today made up for it. Ask for Tina!

I have never had a bad experience with this location. In fact, it’s the only location where I didn’t have an issue. I go out of my way(passing up another one) just to dine here. The wait time at dinner is never too long and the food always tastes fresh and delicious. It might be worth noting that I typically only eat chicken and fish, but their roast beef sandwich is incredible!

Nothing I ate or drank was great. Some things were reasonably good. Most things were fair to barely ok. The warm rolls: don’t waste your calories. The salmon: overcooked with broccoli that was bland and all flavor cooked out. The broccoli pasta dish: creamy but not flavorful The zucchini sticks: the batter kept falling off. The cheese ravioli: creamy and reasonably tasty. Pizza was ok. Veggie delight. Wine. Pinot noir ok. What can you expect from a New York wine. I was surprised that the wine selection in an Italian restaurant was so bad. On the good side the staff was ver friendly but a little slow on service. I also was shocked that they were in business for 40 years. With this food quality they should be candidates for being on Ramsay kitchen nightmare.

I disagree with a couple of these reviews. Although I am not a great connoisseur of Italian food, I know what good food looks and tastes like. I have been to the Hill and not always impressed. Bad service, poor food, borderline disgusting at one establishment in particular. I never have had a bad experience at Pasta House. Pasta House is a chain this is true. A very successful chain. Any fool should know that successful restaurants and restaurant chains do not succeed because the food and service is bad. Good food, service and value. That is why people come back. Replicating something that works does not make it bad. I would say that the food at Pasta House is more than comparable than most places. The staff /servers have always been prompt and personable. I like them and a couple places on the Hill.

Great St. Louis chain… Yes it maybe Americanized Italian food but it tastes good and server was friendly and knowledgable. Had the grilled Sicilian pesce as it was good.

I bring the kids to this one only during the day and only if Kathy is waiting tables. She’s the only reason we don’t go to a different location at this point. The food is generally ok, but the salad at this location is never as good as it is at the High Ridge location, for example. Unlike another reviewer who insists hers not be soggy, it’s supposed to be a little soggy and that’s how I like it. Pasta House has a good pizza, but when the cook skimps on the toppings then it’s abominable. That’s happened several times. I guess I need to learn to send stuff back but I don’t like to do that.

Yes it is Americanized Italian food and yes it is a chain but the Pasta House(especially this one on South Lindbergh) feels like a home cooked meal for me. My family has been going to Pasta House for years on an almost weekly basis. Why do we seem to love it more than others – our regular waiters and waitresses, the bartender and the cooks(one is the bartenders husband) are happy to make our orders specialized. Often my family orders food at every restaurant in special ways. We are picky eaters I guess. Many things we get without mushrooms, salads with extra artichokes, and we even ask for menu items that haven’t been on the menu for 15 years. The staff at this location is happy to accommodate! The Pasta House salad is notorious for being a little soggy – so we ask for it to be made fresh. The food is great and full of flavor and there are so many options! With several coupons and daily deals, you can typically find a good deal. Long story short: if you are a person that likes creative dishes you can find at an expensive trendy restaurant– you probably will not be too impressed. But if you are looking for a place to please a big family or a tasty takeout meal for a date night in this is a wonderful choice with flavorful food, good salad, and hot rolls. The dessert options are wonderful too –great place to celebrate a birthday!

Pasta House is one of the oldest italian places in St. Louis. They are opening news one here and there but they need to start concentrating on the ones they already have. Spruce it up a bit, change the lighting. This location has been a favorite of my extended family for years. They have good specials, especially on Mother and Father’s Day, respectively. I can always find something on the menu to satisfy, and there is always the bread to fill yourself up on. The staff is very friendly, and when its not busy, they are very attentive.

The pasta house has been a part of St. Louis tradition for many years, however over the years the quality has decreased dramatically while the price has increased and not for better reasons. I have tried several different locations and each one has slowly changed and deteriorated over the years, as this one has gone the same route. The food is still good, but it just seems to have gotten so expensive to eat here. This location has seen several changes on its design, and not one of them has helped the food itself. its still an americanized Italian food restaurant. a few of the dishes have held their ground over the years, namely the Chicken Marsala, and the Cannaloni has as well. The cheese garlic bread seems to be one of the few things at the PHC that still holds its ground as far as taste goes, adn I can order it every time I do eat here. I will continue to try Pasta house, just in hopes that it turns around and becomes the popular place it once was.

I normally love this place and they do have good food for an affordable family budget but this last time I went ticked me off. Service is usually great but this time it was lousy and it wasnt busy. We ordered two pizzas for the kids when we ordered drinks so they would get their food first, nope my wife and I ate our entire entrée before they came out. We told them to forget it. We barely seen the waiter… lousy, shouldve went to Olive Garden.
