Excellent Barbers with great customer service, and not to mention one the dopest designed shops in STL. Fresh cuts every time. The owner, which is the top barber, is extremely professional with great morals. Great shop for anyone regardless of demographics.

Came here for my first haircut in St. Louis.
The barber was nice and didn’t talk too much though. Some people like that, some people don’t. I prefer some more conversation.
He asked me what I wanted in my haircut and delivered it for the most part. My sideburns were off though. One side was thinner than the other.
It was also a little more expensive than I expected. $ 18 for an adult haircut is a little more than I’m used to.
Also they only accept cash, so make sure you bring some!

I’ve been looking for a good cut for a long time. I’ve tried stylist that charge $ 50 and the more moderately priced places that charge $ 7…None of them got it right. Unfortunately, I’m Latino so it’s thick and has cowlicks. Even worse, I don’t know jack about hair. All I know is mine is notoriously difficult to figure out. And I give the person at least three times to figure it out before I decide not to go back.
I tried Top Flight based off the year old Google reviews. The pictures on here don’t even look like the same place. It’s much nicer. They may not serve up beer or have women in short skirts choppin away at your hair but they have two tv’s playing sports and take walk ins. If you’re intimidated by the thought of stepping into a barber shop in the city, these guys put you at ease quick. Regular guys who want you to walk out with a nice cut.
If you have the option of picking Sonny, do yourself a favor and wait for him. He’s very popular, especially for the guys that want some crazy style (check out the instagram @Sonnythebarber). He’s focused and a perfectionist. I’ve always had compliments on my hair but after Sonny hooked me up it was at a whole ‘nother level.
The best part is the price. I know Sonny accepts cards since he uses Square. The others might only take cash.

Worst barber I’ve ever been to. He did not listen to what I asked for and started going to town on my head with the electric shears. I asked for 2 inches off everywhere and he ended up taking off 3 or 4 at least. It was also extremely uneven. I would have been ok if it was just shorter than I asked, but it was poorly cut as well. The sides of and back of my head were at least an inch longer than the top. I was going to get it fixed at another barber but I have to wait a few weeks before I even have enough hair back.

I was looking for another barber shop since the first one I went to was out of my price range, and the second one botched my hair.
There are two guys who work in this tiny shop. I refer to them as the guy on the left and the guy on the right (I’m awful with names). I go to the guy on the left since he’s the one who does designs. The one of the right does a fine job with the traditional hair cuts, though (trims, fades, etc.).
It’s only $ 5 so I don’t feel bad coming here every few weeks due to the rapid growth of my hair. The most important advice that I can tell anyone is to bring pictures and make sure that the barber knows exactly what you want. Don’t just give him/​her an idea and expect them to read your mind!
He does an ok job with my hair, but he always seems to shave it a little too short. I don’t like it that short, because the design blends in with the rest of my hair more quickly. I’ve brought that up to him, though and it still seems too short to me. He’s done a sloppy job with the trimming before too not catching all the hairs.
They do have a good amount of clientele which means they’re doing something right. Also, they have an ethnically diverse group of customers which means they’re experienced in a variety of hair textures and styles. But I think you’d be better off somewhere else if you were looking for a more intricate hair design.
