We had a great experience at Triumph Grill last evening. Our server, AJ, was attentive, nice, and funny all without being overbearing. The food came out quickly, at the correct temperature, and well flavored. Ask to sit in the bar, the happy hour specials are great and we really recommend the pulled pork nachos.

Triumph Grill is a really fun restaurant near SLU, made all the more fun by the fact that the restaurant is attached to a large warehouse full of vintage motorcycles from all over the world. Although none of them are notably Triumph motorcycles. My fiancé and I were in town staying with my parents over the Christmas holidays, and my mom had found and cut out a little article about Triumph Grill and saved it for when we were there. My fiancé’s a big motorcycle fan(he loves Moto GP and has a Honda Repsol sport bike himself), so she was thinking of him. We went out two days after Christmas when St. Louis was experiencing one of the worst streaks of rain and bad weather in recent memory(it ended up raining for three days straight and flooding different parts of the city and county). The ride there was a little rough — it was raining hard, but we were rewarded when we got there. There were just a few other people in the restaurant to begin with, and the Triumph museum was open to anyone who wanted to check it out. After a tour and marveling at the bikes, we sat down in the restaurant and ordered a cup of gumbo, an entrée of stir-fry noodles with chicken and an order of proscuitto-wrapped chicken on mashed potatoes. I’m lucky, I’ve gotten my fiancé in the habit of sharing plates with me a lot of times when we go out to eat(my parents do the same thing), so we split the stir-fry and they split the chicken in proscuitto and both dishes were plenty big for two. They were also quite good. It was a lot of fun to go to a themed restaurant like this that clearly loves motorcycles but doesn’t make it cheesy or obnoxious. Nice job Triumph Grill.

We dined at Triumph before going to the Fox Theater. The location is perfect to grab dinner before going on to that theater. Our food was very tasty(I had the salmon and my husband had their chicken entrée). The service was prompt. The atmosphere was also nice. Don’t know if I would pick this location out of all the great restaurants in St. Louis, but if you need a place close to the Fox, I would recommend it.

Delicious bison burger and good vibes. They know how to do sweet potato fries– thin and crispy!

I had the tofu bahn mi sandwich with the edamame and grilled corn salad for lunch. The sandwich was delicious. I liked the salad, but wish it was served warm instead of cold. Maybe I’d like it more in the summer but it’s getting a little chilly and warm would have been comforting. I tried my co-worker’s bbq chips and they were good as well.

My friend and I went here after we tried to go to Pappies. The place was real real quiet. We sat at the bar and ordered nachos, wings, sliders, and pretzel bites. We enjoyed it all. Nothing was bad but nothing was amazing either. I would t go out of my way to go back. The menu is all over the place as well so look before you go.

Pro: Three words, folks… Pulled…Pork…Nachos! This heaping mound of sin was loaded with flavor. The well-seasoned pork, accented with slices of fresh jalapenos, made every fresh chip a delight with every bite! Moving on to a bigger entrée, the Australian Lamp Lollipops were nicely grilled. They were tender enough to not even require a steak knife; my company cut into one with her standard table knife just fine. Also, the hibiscus ginger margarita was impressive, and I’m not even a tequila fan. And it’s impossible to miss the sporty, motorcycle-inspired ambiance of the place. It can work for both Date Night(assuming that the GF is cool like that!) and Dudes’ Night… Con: While the Australian Lamb Lollipops were a hit, the accompanying risotto was not. Somehow, it was under-salted and heavy on truffle oil all at once. It was disappointing enough to stay away from some otherwise good cuts of lamb. Additionally, the Old Fashioned was way too heavy on sugar. I envisioned the bourbon on the bottom of the glass yelling up «Hey, I’m supposed to be the star of the show!» Bottom Line: I’m not totally invested in Triumph, but I am definitely intrigued. Maybe I’ll see what breakfast is like…

Great atmosphere, comfortable but modern, and consistently good service. Menu is small but the dishes are tasty and well prepared.

Pretty terrible. I ordered the fried shrimp and crawfish appetizer. It was greasy, the seafood didn’t smell fresh, and it was hopelessly over-salted. Ordered a side of the«house-made chips.» These were cold and had obviously been sitting around. Total after tax and tip, $ 19 for food that was practically inedible. I’m very hungry but cannot imagine eating one more bite of this gross meal. Service was friendly, though.

My experience at Triumph was good. I went there for a business lunch with 2 other folks. The atmosphere was very pleasant for regular conversation. Some places can get very noisy at lunch time, but it was not the case here. The restaurant was surprisingly not very busy at such a peak hour. The salmon salad I had was very good. The others at my table enjoyed their food as well. The service was excellent, I can’t remember the waiter’s name but he was fantastic, very courteous and attentive. We parked in the front street and fed the meter. I am not sure if there is a free parking lot elsewhere but that was a bit of an inconvenience, something to consider if heading that way.

The cook/chef must have changed. I used to go here for lunch often but the last two visits have been so disappointing. I’m taking this restaurant out of the rotation. Today I had the beet salad with salmon. There was so much spinach I could hardly find the beets. My friend had the gumbo that was supposed to have shrimp but there was no shrimp but tons of okra. The menu has changed and the portabella mushroom appetizer, a favorite in our group, is gone. The soup sampler is gone. Too bad, I used to like this place but I won’t waste my money again.

Motorcycles. Munchies. Modern Luxury. Triumph Grill is located in a Midtown complex(near SLU) that houses a motorcycle museum, a photography museum, a posh hotel, a top tier motorcycle dealer(said as a Ducati owner), a ton a friendly staff, and intriguing motorcycle history. An excellent bonus is that you can’t go into this place and not learn something about motorcycles I didn’t realize they served breakfast, so I popped in for a quick bite before a meeting. I had the place to myself, which is a shame, because the food was excellent and well portioned. I got the Victoria Scottish Benedict that consisted of two poached eggs atop english muffins, draped with a hefty portion of smoked salmon and creamy hollandaise sauce. I did so well in my meeting, people asked, «Did you eat at the Triumph Grill before this meeting?» «You’re damn right I did,» is all I said.

I’m confused as I often find myself in this journey called life. I’ve never really had a good reason to avoid this place yet I have for a couple years. The location is perfect for me and intriguing and I’ve never really seen anything to make me think that I wouldn’t like it. Well news flash — loved it! First of all there is a photography museum intertwined within the restaurant which is pretty cool in and of itself but it’s also a nice large space with different rooms that have different vibes. They have a very extensive drink menu including wines and a fun and diverse food menu. We inquired about the beet salad more out of curiosity and the kitchen whipped up a small one just so we could try it in case you wanted to order it in the future. How cool?! We had to tempura fried asparagus appetizer, very good and truly lightly fried. My date had the field green salad and I had chicken stirfry — all excellent. The service was very attentive and good as well. They had plenty of TVs to watch the game but it didn’t feel like a sports bar or anything like that. We then slipped next-door to the lounge at Baiku sushi and had a couple cocktails for dessert. The two restaurants are connected but completely independent of each other beyond the bathrooms. They have valet parking but plenty of street parking anyway. I’m looking forward to going back and trying more of the food. maybe even tonight!

They catered our wedding and the food was outstanding. All the guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had and went back for seconds or even thirds. Food was ready right on time and I couldn’t be more thankful that they prepared such great food for all of us to enjoy.

A mediocre experience at best. Our larger party came in for brunch, and thankfully we were sat right away without a reservation. I was actually surprised at how empty the restaurant was. We once even said«this is too quiet.» We were hoping that since the place was pretty empty that we’d get fast service, but that wasn’t the case. Our waiter was nice but he definitely didn’t have a pep in his step to get us quickly serviced. My breakfast, the 2 egg plus bacon, was good. But it’s hard to mess up eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. My fiancé had a breakfast beef hash dish and wasn’t impressed. I never heard anyone in our group say how good it was. I think it was just«meh» all around. I personally enjoyed my breakfast, but I can’t say the same for the rest of my group. Prices were fair, there was plenty of parking, there was no wait time, and the décor was nice. I don’t think I would come back though, especially as an out of towner.

I really enjoyed this spot for Brunch. The service was friendly and prompt and I really enjoyed taking a peek into the motorcycle gallery. I will certainly be coming back to try other options on the menu. It was a neat place to check out and grab lunch after church.

We went here for brunch and it was quite delicious. Service was good and the place wasn’t terribly crowded either. The Triumph Grill can be overwhelming with noise if there is a large crowd. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was very good. I haven’t had such a tasty sandwich in awhile. My brunch partners also enjoyed what they got. We lucked out and got parking right in front. Normally though you may have to park around the corner or on a meter or lot. Make sure you pay the meter until 7pm or you will be ticketed except for Sundays and holidays.

Triumph has definitely held its own throughout the years amid the rapidly expanding(and admittedly contracting) midtown/downtown restaurant scene. They have carved out their own niche with their sudo-steakhouse/new american cuisine. Always guaranteed a well prepared/cooked meal and but the prices aren’t the greatest. Nice décor borrowing it’s theme from the motorcycle museum next door. On my latest visit for a quick lunch(which they also excel at) I ordered their two-stroke lunch special which enabled the choice of house or Caesar salad and half a sandwich or cup of soup of which there are several choices for either item. For $ 12 it’s still not a great value considering the laughably small portions. What somewhat saves the lunch menu in my eyes is the fact that all the menu items are well seasoned and very tasty. All that being said, triumph has maintained it’s ground and will likely continue to do so solely on the strength of their extensive and impressive bar. This review would be a 4 if not for the small portions and sometimes disjointed service on the dining room floor.

Took my father here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We arrived about 11:30am and were promptly greeted and seated. The dining room was pretty empty but started to fill up the closer it got to noon. I ordered the Hangtown Fish Tacos(Mahi Mahi) with a side of edamame and roasted corn salad. The tacos were warm and the island coleslaw and guacamole mixed well together. I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled with my lunch. The edamame and roasted corn salad was light. My lunch was good. But honestly, nothing I got super geeked about. I would definitely come again… but not in a rush. Service was attentive until it was time to pay our check and our server disappeared for a while.

I had dinner at Triumph recently. I wasn’t crazy about the décor, but I see how someone into motorcycles might enjoy it. Triumph wasn’t too loud, especially considering it was getting pretty busy by 6:30. It was clean, too, except my fork, which had a flake of food or soap or something on it and was unpolished. I checked out the wine list. It’s almost completely dry. :( There aren’t many vegetarian options. I ordered a Big Boy Grilled Cheese. With five cheeses that include brie and gouda, it should have made a superior plate. However, the burned it. I’m sure lots of grilled cheeses I’ve ordered have been burned, but they’re typically replaced with nice, not-burned ones. Still, it was edible, and even good, but it could have been great. Perhaps I’ll return if Vito’s is too crowded next time I’m at SLU.
