I had the taro cake at someone’s birthday party, they said they got it at this bakery. I’ve been looking forward to it for 6 months. It’s very expensive, I ordered the $ 70 cake on Wednesday, it requires 48 hour notice. I requested to pick it up Saturday at 1:00. The following day, Thursday, someone called and said they were confirming my order and my cake would be ready for pick up Saturday at 1:00. On Saturday at around 11:30 am, my husband called and asked if he could get the cake at noon instead. They were very rude and yelled at him if it was supposed to be ready at 1:00, then that’s when he could pick it up. He went to pick it up at 1:00, they said I never ordered a cake. My cake only said happy birthday on it. They were very rude again. Then they went in the back and came out with a cake that said«Happy Birthday Sophia” – not even close to my name! Also, it said it was to be picked up by a Karen — also not even close to my name. They told my husband that he could have the cake with the wrong name on it for full price because it hadn’t been picked up yet. My husband didn’t take it because he didn’t want to screw someone else over who was supposed to get a cake… also, it said Sophia! My guess is they took my «must order 48 hours in advance» cake and handed it to someone that just walked in. Happy birthday to me. Thanks Bravo Bakery, you suck!

Ordered green tea and red bean cake online. And I was told the message I wanted to write on the cake was too much when I got there to pick my cake up. That staff asked about what kind of event I was going to celebrate, whose birthday it was, and others, then said ‘why not just put happy birthday on the top’. I mean every birthday is special, if you don’t want to write other words then happy birthday, why did you put the message section on your booking webpage? Then I had to shorted my message, and it turned out to be a number plus a word. BTW, it took them five min to locate my cake. Anyway, the cake tasted good, sponge was moist, and fruit decoration on top was amazing! Wanna try mango cake next time.

The mango cake is delicious! Real fruit and real cream, not overly sweet… Glad I discovered this off the beaten path gem

WORSTSERVICEEVER! If I could give them negative stars I would. I placed an order for a cake on line with specific saying of good fortune for the decoration on top. Received a call shortly after saying that I could not have what I asked on the top of the cake. They said that I could have only«Happy Birthday». I still wanted the cake and conceded on the writing. Went to pick up the cake today and the cake had no decoration on the top. Asked specifically why this was the case and the woman rudely ask«what do you want on it?!» I mentioned that this was already discussed, she takes the cake to the back and just sticks a tacky, plastic«happy birthday» flag in the cake and give the attitude of «take it or leave it!» I will never again purchase from this place! They are rude not only to the customers but also the employees.

This place has the worst bobs tea ever. I ordered a hazelnut milk tea, and what I got is just straight milk with no tea whatsoever. Do not order ur drink here. Terrible thing ever!!!

Bravo is a small Asian Café & Bakery located on Grand Ave. Although Bravo provides a nice seating area to drink coffee or bubble tea while talking with friends or studying, the Bakery itself is what makes this place unique. They provide their customers with an amazing selection of deliciously crafted and colorful cakes for any occasion.(Go Online) Best of all, if you’re a new customer and unfamiliar with their cakes, they have a cute cake display where you can purchase a slice for around $ 3.50. the delicious flavoring and perfect amount of texture is unbeatable.

Best cakes in town. The reason I gave them one star is because of the way the owner treated their workers. Went there to inquire about wedding cakes. When one of the workers ask for help, the owner was quite rude, belligerent, and disrespectful. Not cool, specially in front of customers. After seeing that drama, we decided not to inquire about wedding cakes.

I’ve ordered birthday cakes here for years and recommended this place to a lot of my friends. Honestly, I like their cakes, but the service is poor. I talked to a lady there about ordering a cake and she was really rude which made me so mad that I wanted to talk to the manager/owner, and turned out she the owner. I will never come back here again even though I like their cakes. Horrible service!

I tried mango, pineapple and green tea cakes, and the both the fruit cakes were super delicious. The sponge was moist and icing was tasty with fruity flavor. Green tea is also good.

I’ve came here a couple of times in the last week and so far really love it. The cream puffs are delicious and so is the tea! If you’re big on fruit teas, I would highly recommend the passion fruit tea(cold) with lychee popping boba. You won’t regret it!

They had a bunch of pretty little fruit flavored cakes on display but I am more of a chocolate sweets person so I skipped over those. Cream puff was good. Nothing special. Overall decent place.

My family always comes here for our cakes! We absolutely love Taro! I am someone that hates getting taro bubble tea or taro anything, but this cake is an exception! You can taste actual taro in their cakes. Soooo amazingly delicious!

They have the best fruit decorated cakes. So far green tea is my favorite flavor but I’ve also enjoyed Mango. They also have decent bubble tea. Not the widest selection but enough to get by. Their tea and coffee is decent as well. I don’t think they are as well known for their food but I have tried it and it is ok. Last time I bought a gift set of Pineapple cake to give to my boyfriend’s mom. She loved them. Also, it looks like they sell out of crème puffs pretty fast so try visiting earlier if you want a taste of them.

Their cake is really good! It’s moist, tasteful and not dry at all. The filling is amazing as well. Definitely recommended!

A must go to in Minnesota. It’s hard to find Asian bakeries in the state, and when I came here with my friend, it was nice to have options. Fairly priced, though it’s small inside.

This place has such delicious cakes; it’s a pity that they can’t get their customer service up to the same level. Tonight I went in to pick up a cake we ordered online. I walked in, and the two people behind the counter were too busy playing on their phones to notice me. When they finally glanced up, all I got was a «what do you want». No hello, no smile. Seriously is that too much to ask? I paid for the cake, and at this point it was pretty much as expected: they didn’t even say thank you. A little courtesy would go a long way.

This is my absolute number one place to get birthday cakes for my friends. Great asian style cakes with real fruits and home made crime. They also have small asian assorted snacks. For hot foods, they serve vegetarian food. Although I haven’t had any, I hear from my friends that it is delicious. It’s best to call ahead and order if you want specific cakes. The lady is super nice and she is likely to speak mandarin with you if you know it. The sitting maybe small, but it is very cozy inside if you choose to eat in. Great cakes period.

I come from a Vietnamese family and my husband is Laotian and we both grew up on Chinese style cakes with fruit and whipped topping. There are limited choices to where you can buy these cakes in Minnesota, it’s down to two and Bravo has a great variety and better decorations. I’ve ordered cakes from here several times, the most recent for my brother’s graduation party, we got a green tea with fruit cake and added the graduation cap decoration for an additional cost. They make it easy to order online if you aren’t going to be too specific on how you want it to look and the pricing is resonable for what you get. The cake was a hit and it was gone in literally 10 minutes. People were grabbing a slice for themselves and then coming back to get more for the rest of their table at the party. I highly recommend their cakes as they are not too sweet and can feed a lot of people. We are already going to be ordering another cake for my son’s third birthday later this month. It is worth the drive for us from Maple Grove since we know everyone will love the cake flavor we choose and if you can get my whole family to eat it(not everyone likes sweets and dessert) then you have a winner.

The cream puffs here are the best thing ever! Delicious, fluffy and filled with delicious cream. BF said he would love the pastry even it was empty. I want the cream because it tastes delicious, but I agree with him, it would be a good pastry even empty. Other than the puffs, they have great cakes and they have tea, even if they don’t always have teapots. But they are very nice about not having teapots available. it might take them 20 minutes, but they will find a solution and bring you your tea in some makeshift teapot. The best puffs in town really worth the trip!

I’ve had Bravo! bookmarked to review since last December and I’m finally getting to it now because I’m ridiculously diligent like that. But regardless, a matter of months doesn’t change the results: BRAVO! ISOPENONCHRISTMASEVE. So, if ever you’re stuck driving around the Twin Cities looking for something to do, you can come here, for some mediocre boba milk tea and delicious cream puffs. It’ll warm the winter chills, but not the pathethicness, away. (Disclaimer: the sillier and more ignorant half of my girl gang refutes my cream puff claim. They say there’s too much cream. But you can ignore them. They live in caves. Dark caves. With no wifi or taste.)
