Unfortunately, it seems like the lower the rent of the neighborhood, liquor stores tend toward lower quality, lower selection, and higher prices. There is nothing wrong with this store, but it also doesn’t disprove my theory. When I’m inside I can’t help but feel that it is a headshop, everything about the counter and back room scream headshop, without actually having any bongs. It’s an unnerving feeling, feeling illicit, when it’s actually just disorganized.

Not the cleanest store. It does at least smell like a liquor store. Grunge and dust has it’s allure and I give liquor stores more leeway than grocery stores but they could make a little effort to dust and wash with cleaning solution. The selection has little to draw one in to shop. It is a small shop but I didn’t see anything there that I couldn’t find at any other store, and at a better price. Service. Service. Service. Perhaps I just came at the wrong time of day every time I’ve been here. My experience here has been numb. The last time I was there the cashier failed to give me change($ 5.xx). He acted like it was no big deal after I asked for my change. Not even an «Oops, ‘m sorry». I’m quite sure he would have happily let me go on my way, padding the till or his pocket after I left. I dislike shopping at places who rip me off. I’ll avoid this place in the future.

I stopped here in a pinch on Christmas Eve since most Liquor stores were closed. I was a little hesitant to go in as it looks pretty shady from the outside and is next to a sex shop but I needed me sum wine, so Ci and I ventured in. I was pleasantly surprised as to the nice selections of wine they had and at reasonable prices! I grabbed a few bottles, the man who checked us out was super friendly, and we went home to enjoy our Xmas Eve, The scary part was not inside the store but outside, three cars were just hanging out and looked pretty suspicious. I felt similar to how I feel at the SA down the street on 7th and Wall late at night. You all who live in the area know what I’m talking about! I more than likely will be back but during the day. Its a nice place to stop if you are in a hurry to get in and out.

Great locally owned liquor store. Numerous times I have had them ask me if there was anything I was looking for and if they didn’t have it they have mentioned they could order it. Great service! They have a good assortment of craft brews, the liquor assortment isn’t huge but they have a good assortment considering their size.

Check this place out! East 7th Liquor has everything you could ask for… great prices, selection and service. They have an amazing scotch selection!!! If they don’t have what you are looking for, the owner is more than willing to get in what you need! Call before you head in and they will put whatever you need in the cooler. My type of place.

East 7th Liquor officially opened it’s doors back in February, and since opening has continued to add to their inventory. They are a full service liquor store with beer, wine, and liquor and based on the inventory I saw, they seem to do a good job of catering to the neighborhood. Your probably not going to find that 2002 Pinot Noir you had on vacation, but you will find a nice selection of cold beer and affordable wine. When I stopped in the other day, I had a chance to chat with the owner, and he was very accommodating. When a license became available he jumped at the chance to add a liquor store to the area. It’s his first venture with a liquor store which makes him very eager to please his customers. The prices are competitive, selections pretty good, and he’s willing order in whatever you may be looking for. I really enjoy local businesses that understand you have to cater to your customers. I recommended that he add a couple of my favorite Irish whiskeys and I would not be at all surprised to see then sitting on the shelf the next time I’m in. Two things you’ll find at East 7th that you may not find elsewhere are the build-your-own 6-pack section and the artist painted bricks. I don’t drink a lot of beer, I I really like the build-your-own 6-pack concept. Being able to try 3 or 4 new ones, without spending a bunch of money, works perfectly for me. The bricks is the entryway are white, and rather than leave then that way, the owner has had different local artists in to paint a brick however they would like. There are only about ten or so done at this point, but it’s going to look really cool as they fill the wall. East 7th Liquor is clean, convientent, local, and reasonably priced. All good reasons to stop in and give them a try. I will always have my favorites in the area, but would not hesitate to hit East 7th Liquor when I need to grab a quick bottle or a cold sixer.

Nice prices and the owner does a great job at getting in what customers want. Call ahead and he will even stick it in the cooler so it’s cold when you get there.
