I bought a Groupon for their service. They came to estimate the removal of several trees as well as grinding a stump and some fallen branches. I asked them to break the services out when they bid it but Tony’s estimate did not break things out. When I called for a breakdown, Tony huffed and said he’d have to re-estimate it because the prices would go higher if he wasn’t removing a big tree(the one I told him I wasn’t sure we would need to remove). The rebid process took several punitive weeks, of course. After receiving his new bid and consulting with a DNR official, I determined that I’d need to take the big tree anyways and called to confirm that we would go with his first bid. Tony told me that it would now take a month before he could get to me but he’d let me know when. I didn’t hear from him within the month so I called to inquire. He said he would get to me pretty soon. Maybe 2 – 3 weeks. Finally, I received a voice message from him saying he would be over towards the end of the week. Ugh! My daughter’s graduation party is scheduled and we are having yard work and décor put in place. I called and e-mailed to try to nail him down to a specific day/time so I could determine if we had to reschedule. I received a nasty voicemail as well as a very unprofessional e-mail from Tony. He wrote«I will no longer have you scheduled for Thursday, as I have profitable jobs scheduled. I will get back to you when I can get you in on my schedule. We will probably be able to get you by December.» That’s a direct quote. I told him not to bother as there are many other more professional tree services out there.
