Since I wrote my last review, Lowertown Dog Park has moved less than a block away to CHS Stadium where the St. Paul Saints play. My dogs have now become ruthless panhandlers who think any person attending the games will be a sucker and give them food, but I love them anyway! . Here’s what ya’ need to know; –Fenced in off leash dog park –Woodchip and rock surface –Shade: Since the park is brand spanking new, the trees are small and need some time to grow. Translation: little to no shade for dogs and humans. –Water Fountain/bowl available at dog level –Size: Small park but just big enough to loose sight of your dog if they go from one end of the park to t he other. –BYOB — Bring Your Own Bag & take a bag, leave a bag. –Parking: Free street parking after 5PM M-Sat & all day Sunday. Parking is harder to find in the Spring/Summer when Saints games, events & the Farmers Market are occurring. –Nearest(no-so public) bathroom is located at the Super America nearby FYI: If your dog has trouble with loud noises the Saints occasionally have fireworks and loud music. You can find the Saints schedule on-line with fireworks and other promotions.
