This place has low ratings for a reason. Terrible service on many levels, low quality products, ridiculously overpriced… The shop kitties are great, but that is all.

$ 5 just to go into the store?!? I used to come here all the time about 15 years ago, to buy piercing jewelry. Loved this shop and the atmosphere! But when my husband and I had some extra time and decided to stop in here the other night… The only people in there was the owner and an employee. We knew he was the owner because that’s the first thing he told us! And he also made sure to let us know that he owns a lot of St Paul.(Like we really needed to know that?!) We were very courteous, told him we were just looking. And that’s when he started saying things like, lucky that you came this week, because next week we will be charging everyone $ 5 just to look around. And, you better know what you want when you come in here. Blah blah blah. I thought he was joking at first, but he just kept going on and on and on. I was embarrassed for him and I felt sorry for his employee, she looked like a deer in the headlights. Anyway, I’d honestly recommend not going in here. The owner doesn’t seem to want you to and why would you want to give such a huge asshole, your hard earned money!

I worked here 20 years ago, and the wife of the guy that runs the place called me «HEYYOU» for 3 weeks straight, total horrible woman. And now, the DAUGHTER basically runs the place, and she is just as mean! Supported this place for too long, and their nose rings are cheap garbage! Never again!(But the husband was always flirtatious and sexy and kind, loved him)

Add this to another place I’ll likely never return. Walked in with my family and made eye contact with the bleary-eyed owner. I said«hello» and he looked at me like I dropped out of Satan’s puckered ass. While I don’t expect him to run over and shake my hand for frequenting his store, he never made any attempt to seem welcoming or helpful in any way. I looked at his over-priced«collectibles» and while there was quite a few things a Star Wars nerd like me wouldn’t mind snapping up, I really had no desire to give this clown any of my money. What’s really hilarious is all of the little friendly and fun footprints outside the store trying to remind you that life is fun and happy and whatnot. They’re there to try and lure you in. Once you come in, you’re gonna feel duped. I hope this place goes out of business.

I enjoy shopping here because they have a lot of odd trinkets. I ran into the owner and he was really nice. He assured me his products were of good quality and in turn the person I gave the gift to was quite impressed the item’s quality and tastefulness. Very friendly staff, nice selection of glass things.

Went in here to buy a Christmas present for my husband and asked a few basic questions about the products I was considering the clerk there was nice, but the owner was extremely rude. Immediately told me that they don’t take items back(which was helpful to know and I have no problems with their return policy) and that if I didn’t know what I wanted I shouldn’t buy it. Strange response to questions about products they sell. He continued to repeat this to me over and over as I browsed. Finally I said I understood, I was browsing and thinking if I should come back with my husband to pick something out. He just kept repeating how I shouldn’t buy anything and that he was the owner and that the policy was so that customers wouldn’t come in and«bitch at his employees.» I thought he was just weird, rude and strangely aggressive towards someone who was just checking out his store and contemplating spending their money there. The clerk was really nice, though, and gave me a card as I left if I wanted to come back with my husband to pick out something. But, I think I’ll follow the advice of the owner and not shop here. I love patronizing local businesses, but you still can’t be a jerk to your customers.
