I have been going here since it opened since I live blocks away. Mo is a great guy, the food is very Chicago style, which I love. The sad thing is that Mo isn’t there as often anymore and hired more people which slows down the service, so be prepared to wait. The food isn’t the healthiest, but I recommend the gyro fries, the gyro, the side order of fries with cheese, or the fried chicken meal!

Wow! Oh… my…goodness. Prolly not for health food buffs. Delight for gourmands! Got a message this morning on Unilocal from Brian R. Said that if I am a fan of the Rice Street Deli that I should make sure to check this place out. As the Rice Street Deli is awesome, I did not hesitate and made my way over here for lunch today. In many ways, I could almost cut and paste my Rice Street Deli review for this one. They are extremely similar. Seems like they are doing a pretty good business here. There were four people waiting for their food when I walked in, and two more came in after I ordered mine. Went with the lamb and chicken gyro combo with french fries and a Faygo grape soda for $ 8.50. Take out only at this place, so off I go back to the office and who do I see in the parking lot on my way out? None other than Brian R. Told him the place seems very much like the Rice Street Deli and that I would be writing a review. Got back to the office and opened up the styrofoam tray. Without a doubt, this is the most loaded gyro I have ever come across. Pita flat on the tray with a huge heap of meat on top of it. So gigantic that you can not pick it up and eat it like any other gyro unless you want to lose about half the meat off the sandwich. Grabbed a fork and started picking away at it. Very tasty. Got it down to a manageable size where I could pick it up and eat it with my hands. Managed to finish about three-quarters of the gyro and three-quarters of the fries. STUFFED! If this place were a little closer to work and I had no concerns over an expanding waistline, I would be a regular here for sure. Thanks for the tip, Brian!
