Fun little triangular park where Summit, Portland and Western come together. Named for American patriot Nathan Hale, whose statute stands within. Wonder why a statue of Nathan Hale can be found in Minnesota? Erected as a gift to the city by the Nathan Hale Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, in 1907, this life-sized statue of Hale is the first monument west of Ohio to honor the Revolutionary War. Anyway, enjoy the three sided glory of Nathan Hale Park.

Not much as far as parks go, but this little wedge of land is host to a statue of none other than Nathan Hale. Thats right, the«I only regret having but one life to lose for my country.» Not that I have known many people to wait for the gallows, but he sure did dress nicely for such an event. Walk around the back of the statue and you can see that his hands are bound by rope. No go throw that nerf football and have a great time! (or alternately in the winter, take advantage if they turn the park into an ice rink).
