I haven’t been to this Pier 1 in probably five years. I was so impressed when I walked in. One of the Associates (that’s the PC term for Clerks now), saw me carrying a pretty good sized box in the store for a return and grabbed it from me immediately to put it behind the counter. How nice was that? Most of the time, they don’t even notice you but she was right on it!
She was busy for a few moments so I looked around a bit and a different associate ended up helping me with my return who was just as nice as the first one! My return went smooth as silk, she helped me when I inquired about some additional plates I wanted to buy more of, and was just a real gem.
I am a 99% online shopper but I might just have to make a point of stopping in Pier 1 again!

We bought a large patio set with accessories from this store. The service was highly variable with some sales associates being very friendly to the other extreme where one did not want to ring us up.
We had a few changes to make and they seemed very confused each time leading to each transaction taking a lot longer than we expected. Recently, we found a defect in one item and they refused to help us. We had to call the main customer service number and they had to convince the store to help us.
I’m not sure if this experience is representative of all Pier Ones or this one specifically.

Got some really cool salt shakes for Christmas gifts.

I was on the hunt for those random last minute gifts with Christmas looming a week near us. Needless to say I found a great gift for my mom. It’s rare I get a chance to swing into this location, but as busy as it was, I had no issues finding my way around the store, or finding various items.
Plus if you are a person who likes reasonably priced clearance items, Pier 1 offers a nice selection of items that are being discontinued at the store. It was quite difficult to walk away from a particular lamp they had in that section, needless to say.
