Picture this: It’s 1972 and you walk into a dive bar. Look, this place is great. It sits on a street of abandoned small business dreams and an old Main Street that back in the day would’ve put Mayberry to shame. But sad to say there is no Barney stepping in to bring you laughs, just plenty of locals who are nice enough to welcome you in to sit on ass worn stools and play some TouchTunes. Maybe you’ll find yourself there on a Friday night with a no audience karaōke jam. Which is too bad because the sound system is probably one of the best in the Twin Cities to help you hit those unforgettable notes. They got Heggies and basically every well drink you’d want. Nothing above Crown Royal or Jameson for these parts. And to note, it’s cash only folks. So bring your Benjamins and get ready to play some pool or some hold ‘em. Get your pic taken next to the world famous snake mirror. Don’t forget to wear your cowboy boots and bring your manners.

A dive bar for locals, by locals. Scott-Boy pulling the drinks, cheap and surprisingly delicious bar pizzas to snack on, pull tabs, karaōke, pool and plenty of space to hang out. This is a typical Midwest bar, which is what is so special about it. The locals who go there have been going there for years — its common to find Father’s and their full grown sons sharing a drink side by side, old high school sports stories being traded back and forth, everyone buying a round and chatting about the town gossip. If you’re low key, tip well and are friendly, pull up a barstool. This is a joint to get comfy in and stay awhile.
