My experience with the Maplewood location. I have bad vains, its really difficult to get the IV in. But in the past it always worked after a couple of tries. My first visit, I came for the MRI. The nurse was already exausted and sweating and whipping her face. It was 10 am in the morning. She looked at my vain and shook her head, while saying oh my gosh over and over, she could not get the IV in. After 2 tries I told her its not gonna work. There was no other nurse available at that time. I had to reschedule for a different day, so they could get a more experienced nurse for me. My second visit. A nice male nurse, got the IV in after 3 tries. Not to bad and not to painful. The last 10 Minutes of the MRI, they injected the contrast. Thats what the nurse said. MRI done, she found out the contrast did not go in, because the plug on the mashine did not work correctly. Really? Dont you check the equipment before the patient comes in? Make sure its working? After 10 more Minutes, she had to do the last part of the MRI again. Great, my 30 Minute MRI turned out to be a 50 Minute MRI, what means laying in a uncomfortable position, not able to move. An appology would have been nice. This was my first and last visit to this place!
