Fun eclectic and full of surprises and oddities around every nook and cranny. The taxidermy giraffe head is quite the peculiar find. I recommend this place for some treasure hunting! My Daughter found a fun puppet and I noticed Taschen books in their case. A definite fun find on West 7th.

Went in yesterday on a mission. No luck but met the nicest people. The owners (mother and son) were delightful and very helpful to assist me in my quest. Will come back and bring some funky men’s wear to donate/​sell. A must stop for the a vanguard.

I liked this place. The owner was nice and there were a lot of unusual accessories, curiosities and clothing. The price was reasonable, too. West 7th area of St. Paul is so full of character and fun for a little getaway.

The Bearded Mermaid is every bit as cool as a place called The Bearded Mermaid should be. It’s not like your average antique or vintage shop with towering piles of stuff and uncomfortably narrow aisles. It is spacious and uncluttered, with items displayed neatly throughout the store. It’s the place to go if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, like original art or a human spine and equally great for unique furnishings and vintage clothing.
