OMG! What an incredible place! If you are looking for something free and interesting to do and your kids are into the arts(…or not…), this is definitely a must-see museum! I have been here a couple of times and learn something new every time. Whether you are looking a the musical instrument art, researching the history of the piano(looking at real pianos), reading old composers’ documents, playing Gamelan instruments or creating your own concept instrument, there is at least a couple of hours of fun involved for adults and children! The employees are great and the Landmark Center is beautiful. And, there are a number of great places around to get lunch! What more can you ask for? Check it out before a show at The Ordway. Take a walk through Rice Park when you are done. No matter how you look at it, just get there!

From October through April, enjoy free noontime concerts at Landmark Center courtesy of The Schubert Club. Bring your lunch and enjoy some great music. Today’s performance featured Fantaisie in F minor for Piano Duet by Schubert(surprise!) as well as Schumann’s «Dichterliebe,» featuring the Minnesota Opera’s Michael Nyby. The Club has been around for over 100 years. They have an interesting museum(also free and in Landmark Center) and put on a wide variety of concerts and recitals throughout the Cities. Bravo!
