This place is a filthy dirty dump, the food was terrible(our chicken salad was room temperature) and the owners talk REALLYLOUD over and around you. After the owner took our order, he proceeded to follow a wasp the size of a hummingbird around the store with a handheld vacuum. After he caught it, he hung up the vacuum then made our sandwiches. That was when I noticed dirty rags on the floor behind the counter and the dirty floors and walls. The table next to us held cleaning supplies and a few of the tables behind us was their messy, makeshift office for their«car & motorcycle» business. The owner’s wife was impolite and yelling about something when we entered, then squeezed past us with her garbage can while we were trying to order. While we ate, she sat in her«office» and started yelling over us at a relative who came in. This was the worst experience my husband and I have ever had in a restaurant and we’ve been to many a dive. We paid a partial of our bill with a coupon. After I gave my phone to the owner so he could validate the coupon, he shoved it back across the counter at me then asked for the full amount. As for the coffee, they have airpots lined up so you can pour your own. Obviously, the business owners have more on their mind than running a coffee and sandwich shop. This dump should be reported to the health inspector.

A wonderful family owned spot. Not fancy but tasty! Coffee is fresh and hot and beats the cost of the chains without sacrificing quality. Lots of regulars stop by each time we have been there, testimony to the good food and great coffee.

Outstanding coffee. Locally roasted beans in hand crafted lattes or traditional coffee. If you like it cold, try their cold press in the summer. This is one of those rare coffee shops that also has outstanding food. The owner Tony is a former chef who bakes the amazing scones, carmel rolls and cookies. For lunch, the soup and ½ sandwich special is my favorite. I have yet to taste a soup that I did not love. It is a family-run place with some lively regulars. TKs is in a modest store front building, but the food is truly 4STAR. A great spot to hang out for a bit or to get a meal/coffee to go.

We ran into this coffee shop on a whim in an effort to calm the crying baby on our way north. The lattes we ordered were excellent, and while the ambiance was lacking, the man behind the counter was exceptionally friendly and warm, offering our big kid a complementary glass of milk to accompany his chocolate chip cookie.

Good coffee and great sausage pepper jack quiche… felt like a regular the second I walked in.

It’s hard for me to write a negative review(notice my rating distribution), but I have to do it here. Whilst attempting to kill a couple hours in West St. Paul before dinner with friends, I drove past a quaint-looking coffee shop in a modest strip mall. I really like the idea of a locally-owned coffee shop… and I try hard to give them my business. I walked in and immediately began to second-guess my decision. First, the place was dead. Second, no music was playing, so it felt even more dead. The lone employee was seated in the corner, talking to what appeared to be her boyfriend. After serving up my coffee, she remarked to her BF, «those three sales this hour equal my pay for the hour», essentially lamenting how slow business is there. Then her mom walks in, along with two of said Mom’s friends. And the four of them spent the next 30 minutes complaining about life. At a loud volume. I’m sure it continued longer than 30 minutes, but I had to leave at that point. I took my books and studied for the next 90 minutes in my car. Yes, I chose the friendly confines of my car over the coffee shop. That’s not a good sign for business. Oh yeah, how was the coffee, you ask? Decent. But I couldn’t really savor a single sip of coffee with the chorus of shouting voices booming throughout the entire room.
