Trapper Jim the Critter Gitter

Hired this guy in 2009 to remove squirrels from an attic. He estimated there to be five squirrels and charged $ 100 per animal. He required upfront payment (cash or check only) and did in fact set a trap and remove one squirrel. After removing the squirrel he said he’d reset the trap and check again tomorrow, but he never returned. He didn’t return repeated calls and messages.
We assumed he’d just taken the money and taken off — but in fact, it was even worse. Six months later we had to do a lighting project in the attic and found that Trapper Jim had in fact left a baited trap, and found a petrified, starved squirrel that was stuck in it. Awful ripoff to customers and awful way for a squirrel to die.
I would never hire this man again! If you do have the misfortune to be in business with him, be sure to look for traps when he takes off.
