Lido Park

This park is great! I pet sit for a dog in the neighborhood. We walk to this park 3 times per day. The play area is new, clean and pretty vast. I would enjoy it if I were young. There is a small work out area. I was impressed! In addition, there is a nice sized covered picnic area. Lots of trees and open space. Very nice!

Lido Park is a small park in the dead center of St Pete Beach. If you’re trying to find it, just drive down Gulf Blvd until you see the massive water tower (although it’s not visibly elevated on the exterior). It’s between Walgreens and Mobil & Drunken Clam. It is an easy sub-​1 mile walk from most St Pete Beach hotels.
There isn’t a whole lot to the park, but it has the bare essentials for kids, including four swings (two regular, two little kid enclosed), a ‘spider web’ type toy with a seat in the middle, and jungle gyms w/​slides for small kids and larger kids, with age appropriate slides and climbing walls. There’s also a covered pavilion with four picnic tables and a small workout area with a few bars of varying heights and orientations with instructions on what exercises to do with them.
There is no running water or rest room facilities.
There is no parking for non-​locals; the lot for the park is behind Drunken Clam bar but requires a parking permit to avoid getting towed.
Unfortunately, I would not run around in the grass too much because some inconsiderate people tend to let their pets use that area and do not pick up after them, even though there is a pet waste bag dispenser on site.
Directly across the street on the north side is Publix supermarket if you’re having a picnic and forgot anything.

This is a nice little park behind a 50s style utilities buidling. There are a couple parking spots on the side street. There’s a nice shady picnic shelter, swings, a climbing web, and two jungle gym setups with slides. also some benches and grassy areas for catch or Frisbee. Tucked in between the shopping area. Perhaps a nice alternative or break fro. t he beach to mix things up. Can walk across to it or stop by on the way back from Publix or Chik fil A. Also has an adult workout /​fitness station.
