Steve and Charles were direct and efficient, and they took the time to answer all of our questions as they performed their inspection. Because a previous buyer had backed out on the home in question, we already had a first inspection in hand (from another company) when we called Homecheck — though, come to think of it, we may never have mentioned that to Steve. In any case, his inspection not only noted all of the issues on the first inspection report, but caught several significant problems that the first inspector had missed. He saved us several thousand dollars in the buying process, and gave us homeowning tips as we went along. I highly recommend Steve, if he is available, and can only hope to work with him again in the future.

Most companies will mention on their website the owners and their most seasoned employees with the best credentials, which is great, but are you getting one of those people to actually do your inspection? Usually they’ll send out first available, which could ultimately lead to just an overpriced tour of your future home. Not with this company. I called and spoke with Steve, the owner, and not only did he come and do the inspection, but brought along another employee to help out. Now, even though he doesn’t have x-​ray vision, which he also clearly states in his contract, he is very knowledgable and knows what to look for when giving advice as to what he thinks should be done. I would recommend him and his company to anyone looking for an inspection.

My husband and I recently moved to the St. Louis area and have been searching for a place to call home.
