What a great non-profit arts center right near Downtown St Pete. To get an idea of what they’re about, they provide opportunities for local artists with developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities as well as people in healthcare settings, children, veterans, and they also provide outreach art programs for the community. The Community Arts Program hires professional artists from the community to work with handicapped artists. Inside, the walls are just filled with all kinds of art ranging from paintings to ceramics to sculpture, all made by the artist-students. Proceeds from the sales of arts go DIRECTLY to the artist, which is just wonderful. I bought a bunch of handmade cards between $ 2 – 3(forget Hallmark!), and the tax is included in all purchases so you aren’t left with pesky change. I will definitely be back here to grab some more super affordable, unique, heartfelt folk art for a great cause!

During one of St. Pete’s artwalks a friend said we should stop by Creative Clay and he called it ‘the best gallery in St. Pete’ I absolutely agree. This gallery had hands down, the best, most original art I saw during the whole art walk. Love this place and can’t wait to go back and buy some pieces!
