This place sucks. The only reason you’d pay this much for hookah is if you didn’t know any better. If you want to keep smoking the same flavor you still get charged as if you were getting a new one. There’s no outside drinks allowed, which again, you’d only accept if you didn’t know any better. I’ve gone to hookah bars with bags of drinks and snacks, once with a whole pizza, and yet I gotta throw my McDonald’s smoothie out upon entry, like hello I’m dehydrated in this establishment. The people working there aren’t nice at all. The regular customers are super weird too. Granted I went on like a Tuesday but I had at least two very weird encounters with people I knew to be regulars. This has never been a problem any other place ive been. And yeah, they have games and shit but you know what else has games and shit? Every other hookah bar ever. And they’re usually better. Just go somewhere else, love yourself. Otherwise you’re gonna get waaayyyy overcharged to smoke hookah all thirsty while some rando you can’t shake reads you and your friend poetry and bangs out amber is the color of your energy on the guitar.

this place is like a second home to me, ive met some of my closest friends by coming here regularly after working late nights. i love that its open 24 hrs, and i can honestly say that because of the sober environment, it keeps me out of trouble and i can rest assured there wont be drunk, obnoxious assholes ruining the experience for everyone else. its very much like a family and everyone looks out for eachother. especially among the regulars.

I went here for their goth/industrial night. I wanted to find a location to hang out that wasn’t a typical bar. I don’t need any more encouragement to drink. I have never walked into a place and been more welcomed, by the staff, by the people, and by the community. I felt like I fit right in, even while wearing a faux fur jacket and a collar. The bartenders were exciting as well as funny. They even let me try drinks until I found one I loved. I wasn’t so into the Kava, but then they recommended Kratom teas which I had never even heard of. I really loved it! White raspberry lemonade… I stayed for as long as I could and I didn’t want to leave. I even crashed someone’s birthday and they shared their cake with me… I don’t think I’m ever going to forget how I felt.

One of the best places I have found. Great work crew, great atmosphere, and best part open 24 hours. Great for an insomniac. Try something new and all natural and enjoy the best night life you will find.

This spot is amazing, the owners are truly pioneers and they have came up with an amazing concept for a fun place for young people to meet that does not revolve around Alcohol. I have experience in Ethnobotanicals for some years now, honestly they saved my life. Without getting into too many details about my personal life these herbs are lifesavers and need to be respected with great honor simply because THEYCANSAVELIVES. I would like to thank the entire staff!

I have been coming here for nearly 2 years. Great atmosphere and good alternative to the typical alcohol centered nightlife.

Literally the worst place of business ive ever been to. Me and my friends get there nobody greets us. I approach the girl at the bar and ask if we should seat ourselves. She says sit wherever you want. We grab a seat and wait for 10 min. No menus. I go back up to the bar and ask for menus. This girl definitely looks annoyed. She grabs a menu and hands it to me then walks away. I try to ask her some questions but i definitely dont have her attention. Finally i get her attention and tell her listen this is my first time here can you walk me through this? She responds with«yeah just order whatever you want»…are you serious?! I just order a hookah and tea and go sit down. 5 min later she brings my tea over. I ask for sugar she says yes and walks away. Of course 10 min later i still dont have sugar. I walk up to her and say can i get that sugar please. She then tells me i need to bring my pot up to her to get sugar. Totally fine. You couldve told me that 10 min ago when you gave me my pot. Then our hookah came. I love hookah. She sets our hookah down and puts 4 large coals on the bowl. Bitch are you trying to burn my bowl?! I tell her i know how to start it and to please leave the tongs. Never coming back

An interesting twist on a hookah bar. The staff is busy but otherwise very engaging and seems happy to help with any inquiries. The location is adequately decorated, spacious, and there’s a lot going on for whatever may suit you. The seating is comfortable and plentiful, and, as the name would suggest, the atmosphere is in line with a kind of psychedelic lounge. The demographic is younger, being 18+, but there is a good mix of people. I’m eager to go there again and try the different kava and kratom. I’d highly recommend Mad Hatter as a laid back lounge with great ambiance.

Decent. Don’t like the people that sleep everywhere or how pushy some bartenders can be.

Weird. Eclectic. I don’t get the whole kava thing, tastes like dirt and costs $ 10 per cup, but others seem to like it. Cool place to hang out if you don’t drink booze.

This place is really cool. I’ve never been to anything like this before so I was kind of nervous after hearing what they have to offer. As we were walking in, a customer suggested we get«the bitch» with apple and cinnamon flavor. We decided to take her suggestion and I was really glad we did. The bartender was really friendly and the service was prompt. Two drinks cost about 20 bucks which wasn’t too bad. She warned us to sip it slowly, because we were first time kava drinkers. The outside could use a little TLC. A lot of the plants looked either dead or poorly cared for. Place was relatively dead on a Friday afternoon, seems like a hangout spot for stoners but I didn’t mind. The drink made me feel soooo relaxed like seriously I would’ve been down for anything(not sure if that’s a good thing). I was glad we took the customers suggestion because I really liked the taste of the drink! I would like to come here at night, since they are open 24/7, the crowd would probably be very interesting. Overall I enjoyed my time here the paintings are awesome and I love the theme. I’d return next time I’m in the area.

This place is an opium den for straight edge kids. Don’t get me wrong — I think it’s wonderful that kava and kratom are legal because I don’t need my tax dollars going toward housing nonviolent offenders in prison, but these are still drugs. Kratom has similar health effects to heroin. The people of Thailand become addicted to it, and that’s why the crowd here has a shady vibe. I will also back other users and say the service is terrible. I have been here several times and the bartenders are too preoccupied hanging out to spare a minute for a customer. Doesn’t even feel like a business. I once sat for ANHOUR just to order two drinks and some powder. Yup, that’s a 20 minute wait to order. Another time, a woman could not care less when I was asking about the intoxicants I was about to consume. She was minimally helpful explaining anything… Which is dangerous because these drugs are very strong. They need to be more explicit and knowledgable, and they need to protect/warn the consumers. Careless places like this will get the whole deal shut down in no time. I don’t mind the prices for drinks, but the growler is UNREASONABLY priced. They may be used to «sober» kids, but I love beer, and l have at least four growlers at home. NONE of them cost over $ 10, and the typical price is $ 5. THISPLACECHARGES $ 20JUSTFORTHEGROWLERITSELF. And it doesn’t end there — I left my $ 20 growler at my boyfriend’s, so I called to ask them if I could use one of my other ones. They said no. Seriously. That’s ridiculous. To sum up, I get the vibe that many people there are addicted to kratom, an opioid similar to heroin, and it feels quite sketchy, especially since the service is so bad it doesn’t even seem like a business. I advise buying the powder yourself online and consuming it at home.

This place needs warning signs. They gave us little knowledge to what we were drinking(we were walk ins and unfamiliar with the menu). The employee who served us gave us plenty of details to what they would taste like, but we had no idea of the potency. No signs were posted, no verbal warnings or advice. Just simply served until we puked. And we only had two drinks and a shot. Btw, that’s PLENTY for first timers… We had tones of fun and felt amazing until we ordered anther drink. We should have been cut off . The inside was cozy and nice but make sure you know what your getting into . Don’t drink on an empty stomach and do NOT consume alcohol. You will die.

If only they had alcohol lol, but I GET it. Sober environment. Well, sober from alcohol. There is Kratom and Kava and stoner snacks and even a lady with crockpots in the back who makes drunk munchie foods. They screen TV shows and movies and have yoga on Tuesdays. This is a community center of sorts. It’s semi-dark like a bar. Staff is really nice. Clientele is mostly attractive young people. A very interesting place unlike anything I’ve experienced ever!

The people working here were extremely rude to me and my friends. Always turning off the music I chose on the juke box and not helping us out whenever the pool table would break or cause a malfunction. One time I opened the bathroom door and saw a woman giving oral sex to a man. I had to leave because I smelt weed smoke from inside/outside. The only thing good was the m&ms. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone to hangout here.

This is a really cool little place to go and hang out with some friends. I’m giving it four stars because I would like it to have more plants and flowers to make it more botanical looking. The drinks were interesting tasting I had the my little pony with hibiscus flavoring I recommend getting extra flavor since it is so strong and bitter unless you like your tea like that but overall it was a very nice experience

really cute place with a ton of room. inside and outside bar with comfortable sofas. On Saturday there is also a flow toys night. You can only get kratom, kambucha and kava here. No alcohol allowed. You can choose between red, white or green kratom and with it you can add 2 flavors. i had the green one with pomegranate and hibiscus Eric was quite delicious. it cost $ 8. The atmosphere is great however, The service is not so good. considering the fact that we were sitting at the bar and it took them more than 5 minutes to ask for my order that’s a long time. i shall be back nonetheless. come check this cool place out.

This place is awesome. So many choices of teas, kava and kombucha. Great atmosphere and great service. They’ll customize anything to suit your personal taste. Green Horned Leaf tea with hibiscus and lavender is delicious. Drink some, grab a hookah and chill out! Jill is great, tip well!

I give this place mad props for even existing. It’s an interesting concept and potentially a chill place to hang out. That said, I ended up with a 37 dollar bill for two iced teas, which seemed a bit excessive for a night out. It pretty much summed up my kava drinking. My socks were not knocked off, I won’t be repeating the experience. Also, it’s got a bit of a clique-ey vibe. If you’re an outsider, prepare to feel like the odd man out. I’m sure that changes once you hang out there a few times.

I’m with David on this one. Holy hell the service. I was looking for a new late night hangout spot and saw Mad Hatters is open some insane hours. Being a non-drinker I was stoked to check out a place like this. After parking in a shady neighborhood late at night, I wandered in with the manthing in search of a new experience. I chuckled at the sign outside about how they don’t serve alcohol. Inside the place is really dark. I made a bit of a tour to figure out how the place was setup; outside patio — nice! Sofa seating that looked a little older, I can dig it… But these areas were empty. The only life in the place was the bar. The back side of the establishment was pitch black. Maybe this is where they do shows? The décor is reminiscent of a mid teens to early 20s stoner’s bedroom — backlight reflective stuff with the occasional bad poster. It’s not really my scene, but I could live with it… If the service wasn’t nonexistent. It seemed like there were a couple of guys working, but all of them were busy with… nothing. There wasn’t even a menu to check out while waiting. Almost ten minutes later we gave up in frustration and went somewhere else. It didn’t seem like a place that was welcome to outsiders. Everyone at the bar was holed up with either a laptop or phone, or almost mid-nap. There were a few people smoking e-cigarettes too, so if that stuff isn’t your cup of tea, there’s your heads up.
