Looks like it’s closed down too just like Champions BBQ down the block. Too bad. Heard it was good. Guess Gigi’s is the survivor. That other pizza place down the street by Bob Lees took a powder as well. Oh well. Tough business. Anyway place is black some signs in window phone disconnected. It’s toast.

Incredible pizza! We have been wanting to try this place for a while and stopped in for lunch but they only open for dinner. I can respect that and would expect the food to be good since they would focus on their dinner. I was right. We ordered a ½ meter which was way too much pizza but pizza is one thing, next to chinese IMO, that reheats and can be as good or better than when you had it so we went for it. You can get 3 different pizzas on this thing and we wanted to try as many as we could. We had the Rome, Luxembourg and Duomo. All were amazing. Bread was good, flavors fresh and spicet where needed. We were a little surprised that the place was so empty on a Friday night but we heard from the server that there are some issues with past owners and they were working through them but the food does not suffer. Our server, Derek was awesome. Great suggestions for food and wine. We felt very comfortable here, like we were regulars almost. The Chefs were behind the counter and waved at us. You may have heard this place is closed; it is not and I hope it doesn’t anytime soon. The price may seem a little steep at $ 50 for a pizza but a ½ meter pizza is more that enough for 4 and would definitely feed 6 with everyone being full. We took some home and will cover us for lunch and dinner for a few nights.

Pie Topia is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Stopped by on a whim because we saw the sign and just expected a random pizza place, but it’s so much more. Entire menu follows the farm-to-table concept, loaded with dishes featuring the freshest vegetables and highest quality ingredients. We tend to start with the beautifully-presented house-made mozzarella and follow with one of their amazing salads(roasted beet is my favorite). Pizzas are creative and unique. Unless your palate is completely dull, you WILL notice the difference in the quality. Pizza prices will strike some as a bit high, but understand that larger sizes are sold by the meter… much bigger than a large at most restaurants. If you’re looking for a $ 5 pizza, head to your nearest Little Caesar’s. For everyone else, Pie Topia is well worth the experience. They also have a nice, reasonably-priced wine list, a nice selection of local beers and some excellent desserts, although we rarely have enough room for the sweets. Our favorite server there is Derek, simply one of the best anywhere.

Tonight was our first time here. I had the peach and prosciutto salad. Instead of peaches they used strawberries since they aren’t in season. Atmosphere could be better though…

We really enjoyed our visit here. It’s not exactly warm and welcoming when you walk in and the staff seemed a bit standoffish but that may because they were only open a few months when we went. We started with a half of a roasted beet salad for me with stracchino cheese and pumpkins seeds($ 7), so good! and a half of a peach and prosciutto salad for him($ 7) equally as yummy. For pizza we chose the 12″ Eifel Tower with stracchino cheese, mozzarella, arugula, mushrooms and duck prosciutto.($ 24) It was to die for! So fresh, such a great combination of textures and tastes. Absolutely delicious. We had a great bottle of very moderately priced Italian wine to go with it although I can’t remember the name of it. They have a nice little wine list with some nice out of the way selections on it. We’ll definitely be back

Although this restaurant is quite pricey for a pizza place, the food is very good. I particularly liked the Mozzarella appetizers they had. Delicious and worth every penny! The pizza was good, but you can get good pizza all around St. Pete… The decorations in Pietopia were a bit eclectic. They had just a little too much going on. They were trying to be upscale rustic, which I don’t think was working together for them that well. Overall, I would probably come here again, at least for a drink and appetizers. I don’t know that I would order pizza again(although I might just to see how far into a yard of pizza I can get!)

So glad we found Pie Topia! I went there with my fiancé because he found a Groupon deal($ 20 for $ 40 worth of food) and we have been trying lots of new places since we are new to town. I’m always skeptical of Groupon deals. I’m not quite sure what it is — maybe the fact that often it’s a business that’s on it’s last legs, or one that’s starting up and still getting the kinks worked out. This was not the case with Pie Topia. We enjoyed the whole meal from start to finish and since we had the deal it was nice to be able to buy an appetizer and dessert, which we normally wouldn’t be able to afford. Everything in the restaurant appears to be farm-to-table and local, including the beer. All local brews on draft which I thought was awesome. The beer prices were steep — $ 6.50 for a pint of Beach Blonde Ale, or $ 4 for a Yuengling. They had an extensive wine list also, and it appears they don’t serve liquor. We shared the bruschetta as an appetizer which was made with their house made mozzarella. It’s literally one of the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life. I loved that the bread was soft instead of that cut-the-roof-of-your-mouth hard toast and you could tell it was fresh bread and the mozzarella was amazing. Just a dash of sea salt on top really sealed the deal. I could have eaten 20 of those. Absolutely amazing. We also shared the 12″ Barcelona pizza which was red sauce topped with pancetta, and roasted red and yellow peppers. The sauce was tasty, crust was thin and crispy and the pancetta was crispy. It was delicious but a bit underdone as it was soggy in the middle. We had plenty leftover for lunch today. For dessert we ordered tiramisu, but were a little disappointed that it was a trendy«deconstructed» tiramisu. Think tiramisu flavored pudding with a side of lady fingers that you dip in the pudding. The flavor was there, but not what I’m used to and not what I was expecting. Our server was very friendly and helpful and kept our waters and beers full, and was very attentive. He invited us back and we will most definitely do that. Buon appetito!

Pros: –pretty interior –great service –fresh ingredients Cons: — way overpriced for the quality For example, our pizza was extremely undercooked and thin… to the point where it was hard to pick up. Also, it was cold. It was 20 dollars for a 1 – 2 person size pie!!! If I’m paying that much I expect the best, not a pizza I could find at a random pizza place. Picture of pizza will be attached. ALSO, the people next to us complained about their pizza so we know we’re not the only ones. –stuffy atmosphere It’s so quiet here and it feels like you need to whisper to have a conversation. Overall it’s FINE, not Bad pizza but should I ever pay more then 8 dollars for this quality of pizza? No! Would have gone to Noble Crust if it were opened… won’t come back

I have ate there 5 times. The salads are excellent. The pizza is the best I have ever had. The appetizers are exquisite. I strongly recommend Pietopia.

My husband and I were invited back to try a different pizza. This time we ordered the Amsterdam(red pizza) which was delicious! The chunks of garlic were my husbands favorite part! Last time we ordered a white pizza which was not to our taste. The servers were excellent and the wine was still good! We also had one of the fresh mozzarella appetizers which was so good and so fresh! We will be returning with some friends in the future for sure. Thank you Joe for a second chance!

There are 3 reasons to visit Pie Topia; 1. The desserts are the best I have had in Tampa Bay. 2. The overpriced, yet totally loaded pizza. 3. The house-made chili oil. That is really all you need to know. Why three stars then? Because it took us 1 ½ hours to receive our pizza. The restaurant was not busy at all, the kitchen was fully staffed, and full wait staff. There were even 2 hostesses/fashion police at the door. Why does it take so damn long to make a pizza?

Really fresh, delicious food. I said«this is the best ____I’ve ever had» multiple times through out the evening. We stared with the mozzarella wheel — the star of the show was the balsamic vinegar. It was absolutely delicious. A perfect blend of tangy and sweet! Then we tried the Duomo pizza. How could it not taste good — the ingredients were so fresh! The sausage was excellent, but the real winner on the pizza is the house made crust. They seem to be getting a bit of a bad reputation for service and long waits, but honestly I prefer to wait a bit between my appetizer and main course. This place isn’t a spot to get in and get out, its a place to enjoy the beautiful ingredients that they bring to the table. Can’t wait to come back.

My friend loves Chef Maccia(sp?) and went for dinner one night and then dragged a group of us back. Interesting concept that I hope sticks around. We were there on a Sat night and it was pretty busy and they had a few larger groups. It is very pricey, but it is a unique concept. We got the meter pizza with 3 kinds and it was HUGE, they have two smaller options. We got one that had pumpkin crème and that was my favorite, another with mushrooms that tasted a tad like dirt and needed salt and a 3rd with chicken which was good. We also good a cheese and meat tray that had olives and other extras. It was all good. The beer and wine prices were not that bad in comparison to the food pricing. Check it if you are looking for something different. More adult than kid friendly. Service was ok, our guy disappeared a few times, but overall we were tended to. Enjoy!

This restaurant is a farm-to-table restaurant. Most of the menu is locally grown with no preservatives, artificial ingredients, etc… The mozzarella is made on site every day — and it is definitely worth it! I loved the mozzarella cheeses. We tried two of the items from the mozzarella bar, and we were not disappointed. The portion sizes could definitely be bigger, but the cheese was great. The pizzas are ridiculous sizes!!! They have meters and half meters and then regular round pizzas. The pizza was good, but not as good as I would have hoped, especially for the prices. For the prices, I would have expected the best pizza I had ever ate. The atmosphere was a little eclectic. The theme of the restaurant appears to be a rustic home-y feeling… but then there’s black table cloths and cloth napkins on the table. It doesn’t gel well, in my opinion. Pick either fine dining atmosphere or pick rustic. Not both. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back.

First things first, the pizza is fantastic. This is true Italian style pizza. Not over-flavored or salty. You can actually taste all the individual ingredients, which are fresh and sourced locally. They even make their mozzarella in-house. The pizza combinations are well-balanced and thoughtful, not just your typical«meat lovers.» The veggie pizza was loaded with fresh vegetables that I never would have thought to put on pizza, and it was great! We also tried the roasted beet salad, which was prepared with microgreens and included their fresh Stracchino cheese. Again, wonderful flavors. We finished the meal off with their deconstructed cannoli. The presentation was beautiful, and meant that the shell wasn’t mushy. The cheese filling was true to the source, not the typically over-sweetened cream that most restaurants serve. The pizza is expensive compared to the chains, but this is truly a different class of pizza, like comparing McDonalds to a true burger. Our half-meter pizza could easily feed 4 or more, and for $ 40, that’s about $ 10 per person. Not so expensive for a fresh, locally sourced meal. Finally, their drink prices are cheaper than average. We had a bottle of wine for just $ 19, and their beer prices were reasonable as well. I’ve read of some of the negative reviews regarding tablecloths and wait times. I can say that I saw 3 tables turned over during my meal, and all got clean tablecloths. The dirty ones were placed in a bin. I had no issues with wait times, but I also don’t consider that a review of the food, which is truly worth the wait. Overall, can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back, and bring friends and family.

Extremely bland, flavorless pizza. Service was ok not great, water had stuff floating in it. Pizza came out surprisingly quick. Mozzarella was definitely fresh and great. Prices were great on mozzarella and salads section of menu. The rest of the menu was very expensive. At times bizarre unfitting music. Went solely based on Unilocal reviews this place is listed as a 4÷5… I don’t think so. Worst pizza experience i have ever had. Such a nice interior too, its a shame. Will definitely not be returning until the prices are lower and food quality improved.

At the last minute we decided to come to Pie Topia for dinner. They are a sponsor of St Pete ROTC(which stands for righteously out rages twirling core). Dinner was delicious. The three of us shared the mozzarella bullet and the Roma 12 inch pizza. I have a McKinsey apple cider and a friend of mine had the Bruce Coast 66 ginger ale. The staff was great and the ambience is really nice. The owner and chef are very personable and came to our table many times to check in on us. The waitstaff was attentive and not overbearing. The food is a little pricey but well worth it because the flavors are clean and well thought out. I would recommend Pie Topia to anybody who’s looking for a really nice pizza and some great cheese and meat selections.

DeeLish! …the food is amazing… very cultural atmosphere., you can feel the Italian culture just walking in, and especially after reading the menu. The owners and team of staff are professional and friendly. Pie Topia is a must try! =)
