The Salvation Army

The yellow tag saga!!! We had a blast finding so many good deals… Every getaway we go on we find ourselves thrifting… Not a bad thing!!! Especially because of the prices…

This is hands down my favorite Salvation Army. The store is huge, super clean, organized, and has great pricing. Fantastic furniture, racks and racks of clothes, loads of glassware and books. The management is great, employees are really nice, I spent hours and hours there when I stayed in the area for a few months, wish I lived closer!

My wife and I were in shopping on 12÷6÷2012. She was digging through one of clothes racks (this store has a LOT of clothes). A tall black man wearing Salvation Army attire approached her and asked, «Hey little girl, are you lost? Are your parents around?» (my wife is almost 26 years old).
She replied, «Is this a joke? Do I know you?».
The man said «No but I’m the store manager, you must be older than you look, you look 14 or 15»
She replied, «I’m almost 26»
My wife then turned and looked to me, and he said, «she looks like she’s 14 or 15 right?»
I replied, «No, she’s my wife»
By that time my wife was so frustrated by this man barraging her about her age she broke out in tears and we promptly left the store. This is ridiculous for a «store manager» to come up asking any female about their age. I mean was he hitting on her thinking she was 14 or 15?, or was he trying to compliment my mid twenties wife by telling her she looks like a young teen? I don’t get it, neither does my wife.
We will never be back to that store again…

This salvation army is huge and offers up a large selection of second hand furniture, displayed as if it were in a furniture showroom. The store also has rack after rack of clothing for men, women and children, as well as a nice selection of household items. This store is one of the nicer Salvation Army thrift stores I’ve been to, and nicely organized which makes thrift shopping a lot more enjoyable.

This is the best second hand furniture store in the area. The furniture I bought was cleaned and sanitized prior to being placed on the showroom floor. They had a huge selection and the sales staff was great!!! Of course, it helped that we arrived on a 25% off day, too.
