I’ve come here twice with classmates and both times everyone has enjoyed their dished. There seem to be a lot of choices so I always want to sample everything. I try to accomplish this by selecting combo plates and take Togo anything I can’t finish. My favorite so far have been the cheese chilireleno and the simmered pork over a cheese enchilada. I also tried a few of their drinks. I love mojito and theirs was fantastic! I also enjoyed the festivity of the bulldog which is a margarita served with a lil corona beer upside down in the drink. The wait staff were very pleasant, attentive to refilling drinks and complimentary chips and salsa. We didn’t have to wait either time to be seated and yet the place seemed full each time. Each time all of our food arrived together, hot, the orders were correct and I would say within 20 minutes of ordering. The establishment was also very clean. Over all I had to give them five stars because everyone in our group was happy both times and could not identify anything to improve upon.

Amazing food! If you go, get the table side guacamole, a mango margarita on the rocks, and fajitas or fish tacos, you will not be dissapointed. This place is the best Mexican food I’ve had in the area since moving to MO. I’m from CA and I’m used to amazing authentic Mexican food. Great service, super clean, great atmosphere, great prices!

All of the food was extremely bland. I ordered the enchiladas del mar. It was shrimp and crab with a creamy sauce. Not only did it have no flavor, it was slimy and greasy. It was served with a plain white rice that had no flavor at all. I sent it back and got the 2 cheese enchiladas with a taco. The taco meat was bland and dripping wet. The enchilada sauce had a weird flavor to it, the beans tasted canned and the rice was a bland yellow mess. Our server had to be flagged down, he never once checked on us without being flagged down. We will not return.

It was a slow night and I custom ordered a California Carne asada burrito which was nailed Fish dish was also excellent. Modesto beer was cold and crip. Had a glass of Merlot which was marginal at best. Id suggest an upgrade on the quality of wine. Frenza 1.5 liter is what they had in all varietals. Had other top shelf liquor. Super prompt and friendly service

This was a restaurant experience so terrible that I have to write a review. It was a busy Friday night, so I can understand a few difficulties in service, but this place was truly awful. Our group put our name in for a table and waited patiently for 45 minutes to get a table. After checking with the hostess, she realized she forgot about us. Another 15 minutes and we finally get seated. We put in our orders with the waiter as soon as we sat down. It took another 40 minutes to get drinks. The food came out of the kitchen 10 minutes later, but they forgot 2 plates. At this point, the waiter should have run across the street to get some Taco Bell. It would have been much faster. The last two meals came out another 30 minutes later! It turns out the server gave the food to the wrong table… twice! To top it off, the food is mediocre at best. Tl, dr: Took 1 hour to get seated, another 1.5 hours to get food. 2.5 hours of my life I can’t get back. Don’t go here. La Famila and El Jimador are much better.

First visit here. Our group of 35ish made reservations days in advance for 6:30. When we arrived it took nearly 30 minutes for us to be seated. Once seated each side had a different server which is great in theory. Line by line of issues: 1. After being seated, orders(drink and food) was taken. Drinks were brought out nearly 30 minutes later. Only ordered water with a lemon but those who ordered anything different was longer. 2. I requested a separate side of salsa(double dipping is disgusting no matter what myth buster say). This took so long I for oft I requested it … Still no food 3. One side of the table started to get food around 7:45. No specific order. It looked like everyone enjoyed their meals from what I could see and the 8 or so people near me were very pleased with their orders despite the long delay. 4. A few minutes after 8:00(someone had already finished dessert — no kidding) I got my food. I don’t remember the actual name but basically it was grilled shrimp with a spicy tomato sauce, rice and no beans. The food was lukewarm but after waiting over an hour and a half I didn’t return it besides there were still 3 people who had not gotten their food. The shrimp were huge but the grilled taste actually tasted more like burnt shrimp. The tomato sauce was not spicy, just mediocre. The edge of my plate was not wiped off before it was brought out. Food was on the sides — messy/sloppy. 5. At some point they ran out of glasses so a few of us were served drinks in styrofoam cups… Who does this? So you are telling me there are no clean glasses? What management allows this to happen? Food prepared in nice white square plates, fairly new establishment, nice décor and drinks are handed out in styrofoam. Nonsense. If I had received my water in a styrofoam cup, I would have refused it and waited for a glass. It’s not like they asked for a to go cup… Ridiculous. 6. I decided to get ahead of the game and ask for my check. After she gave me the check, I handed her my card and she replied«oh, I’m busy so you will have to pay upfront.» REALLY? Then she goes and stands with the other waitress and chat for a few minutes. 7. Gratuity was not included which was a positive thing because I did not plan to leave a tip and did not leave a tip. 8. To be fair, this review is based on my food and experience not the entire group. Majority of the people enjoyed their food and was just dissatisfied with the service. I would consider visiting this place again with a smaller group at a possibly less crowded time and day.

I was immediately impressed when we walked in the door. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff was attentive, and even very friendly to our 13 month old. Food was delicious, a little bit more pricey, when compared to the other local texmex restaurants, but definitely worth it! I definitely recommend going there.

Nice atmosphere and great service. The food was ok, but lacked some spiciness. The floor was sticky which didn’t help. Not sure if I would come back. Everyone else at my table was happy with their food.

I have only eaten at Cantina Bravo once so far, but I am very familiar with the other Mexican restaurants in the Waynesville/St. Robert area. Overall, I feel that Cantina Bravo is the most«high end» of the three main Mexican restaurants in our beautiful«twin cities». First off, I loved the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were the thinnest I’ve seen in the area and allowed the flavor of the salsa to become prominent. I really enjoyed the flavor of the salsa because it had just enough of cilantro for kick without it becoming obnoxious. However, I feel that the salsa may have been watered down and seemed a bit runn-y. It tasted fine but it was easy for it to fall off of the chip. My wife and I ordered the«Fajita Brava» for $ 22, which was coined as a «fajita dish for two». Honestly, it was more like a fajita for four. The amount of steak and chicken served was very gratuitous with a decent amount of veggies and approximately 6 shrimp. It always bugs me when shrimp are served cooked with tails on and this is where Cantina Bravo made their first mistake(in my books). Does anyone know if shrimp taste better when cooked with the tails on? Because it is a pain having to take them off with your fingers when they come out so hot. I don’t really understand the reasoning behind leaving the tails on while cooking but I wish they wouldn’t. The iron skillet that the rest of the meal was served on was very large and came out hot as expected. There was quite a bit of excess oil with the food, but not enough to make it taste soggy. Overall, my wife and I loved the clean, modern décor of the building and the waitstaff was very professional and attentive. While the dinner menu may be a bit more expensive than El Jimador or La Familia, we felt very satisfied and we look forward to supporting more higher quality dinning establishments like Cantina Bravo in the future.

Clean and friendly environment. Nice looking bar. Chips and salsa were yummy. Everyone’s food came out quick and kids can out first which was a plus! Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. Mine was COVERED in chipotle dressing that was good just had way to much. There was barely any lettuce and it was packed with chicken and tomatoes which isn’t a normal complaint but I would have liked to recognize what I was eating and had more lettuce in it. Anyways. They’re pretty good overall just need to find a way to cut out some noise from the kitchen

It helps that we live a 3 minute walk from this place, and there’s no smoke inside. We liken it to Don Jose’s off 66, both have tons of choices. The tableside guac is good, their cheese dip is nothing special(but nobody’s is around here), and the salsa is decent as well. The chips are hit and miss. I’ve enjoyed their quesadillas and enchilada combo plate. I got this grilled chicken thing with a tomato cream sauce, and asked for the sauce on the side and that didn’t go over so well. The sauce tasted like mayo with chipotle pepper. Which is great on corn on the cob, but not cold over a chicken breast. But there are tons of options, and the service is pretty good for only being open for a few weeks. Sometimes it is hard to track a server down, especially when it’s busy.

Best Mexican restaurant in the area! The flavor of the food is spot on and the tableside guacamole is amazing. For the ones that were complaining about the wait time, this is a new restaurant and usually there are a lot of people that go to new restaurants in this area at once. If you would’ve asked, they would’ve have told you that there are only 2 chefs making meals in the back the first few weeks. Not enough to make meals for all tables in a short period of time. Don’t pay attention to bad reviews, give this restaurant a chance. I’m Latin and I have visited many Mexican restaurants, this by far has been the best one!
