If you like home cooking this is the place for you. It’s a family run joint with southern favorites. They mainly lunch which is unfortunate because i would love another option for dinner. Only open for dinner Thursday and Friday. I’ve sampled the following and all items have been delicious: Fried Chicken, Cobb Salad(love this), Cajun Chicken Sandwich, Steak Sandwich, Pulled Pork Sandwich. Give it a shot and be prepared to loosen your belt.

Sad to say the Service sucks here. I don’t know if they are all family or friends or what but if you don’t want your job quit, and let someone who will actually wants to work have a go. The food is ok but not really worth the price you pay. But lets be real this is fort leonard wood, there is not much else to try. I will say the good thing they have going is their sweet tea, which is really sweet & their sweet tea & lemonade mix.

I went here for lunch with nine people from my unit. We arrived just before 1200 and ordered immediately. There were about 6 other patrons in the restaurant. It took until 1250 to get our food – 7 pulled pork sandwiches, 1 other sandwich, 1 salad, and a macaroni and cheese. The waitress brought the plates out in pairs, and it took about 15 minutes from the time the first plate came until the last. She also forgot the macaroni and cheese. The food was good, but I would not recommend going with a group.

Delicious food! I had one of their best sellers the chicken philly with sweet potato fries… yummy! Make sure to ask for some spicy honey to dip the sweet potato fries. Fast service and friendly staff. I overheard other customers rave over the macaroni and cheese and another about the burger. Take it from this Louisiana girl, this place is a hidden gem serving southern food in the Midwest. I’ll be back!

The food was awesome and the service was great. I will definitely be coming back. I had the smothered pork chops, cabbage, and cornbread. It tastes just like home.

Food is great. I mean, really great(especially the curry chicken on Thursdays and the green beans any day). The service is usually really good, though they sometimes can be a little slow, depending on who the server is. If you get the special, it is much faster. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in mid-Missouri. It would help if it was better marked though(like a large sign outside, not just a window decal).

My brother has told me abt this place when he came down to FLW for training and I decided to stop by when I was on TDY here. I had the Boss wings. They sauce was pretty darn good and the wings were well marinated I ordered the house burger aKa pretzel burger on pepper jack cheese and asked my patty to be medium rare. The burger was juicy and make sure you ask for extra napkins since it drips all over. It has to be one of the top 20 burgers I have ever had. The sweet potato fries tasted fresh and did not have added sugar. My buddy had the pulled pork sandwich and the lemonade and he seemed happy! The service was good and the server and cashier were friendly. The place has a old fashioned homely atmosphere. All in all… this is one of the best places to eat in St Roberts!

They have strange hours, and then are open on Fridays til 8p, but the day we went they were closed. Bummer. They also aren’t open on weekends. Anyway, we went mid-week for lunch… there weren’t a whole lot of people there but the service was good. I enjoyed my jambalaya. It came with cornbread, which was pretty bland. My husband had the wings(appetizer), which he really didn’t like. They just weren’t to his taste at all. Our friend had the club, which, while boring, he liked. haha. Overall, a good experience. I wish they were open for dinner more often, and possibly on the weekends. It’s hard to find something that’s not fast food or Colton’s on the weekends, especially for dinner.

Favorite restaurant in the area. The Cajun Chicken Philly and the Pretzel Burger are to die for! Excellent desserts especially the banana pudding. Service can be a bit slow… But it’s definitely worth the wait!

This place does not disappoint. Tonight they hosted a murder mystery dinner show. The 4 course meal was ONPOINT! If u haven’t been to this place yet kick yourself on the head. You won’t regret eating here. The staff is super friendly too.

I was at FLW for four months for training, and one fine day one of our instructors told us about this place. Looked up Unilocal for reviews and everybody had good things to tell about this place. The place is in a strip mall, and does not have a sign outside like the other businesses around(Had been forewarned on Unilocal). It is a pretty small place, and there were a couple of tables empty. We were promptly attended to, and the servers were courteous. I ordered the burger on a pretzel bun along with a side of fries. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve eaten and the fries were crispy and full of flavor. Prices are pretty decent, with I guess $ 9.00 for the burger and fries. My instructor said, they do have curry on Thursdays and it’s the best around here. Haven’t tried it and can’t comment on it. They serve drinks in Mason jars which includes coke. I will be visiting this place again. The only bummer about this place is that, it does have weird hours. So if you are heading there, make sure you check the hours. Also, I guess they are closed on weekends.

Pulled pork was great, my gf said her burger may be one of the best she ever had. Lunch service was great, waiter really knew the food and events. Sweet tea was really good, but got to be too sweet for me, but I think that’s just my preference. The place was pretty hard to find because they don’t have a sign… so don’t give up finding it, it’s really good. Best you can find in the area no doubt.

This is a must visit if you’re at Ft. Leonard Wood. The bad: their hours are really weird and it took forever to get our meals… I mean, we waited a good hour. That said, I’m always willing to overlook poor kitchen management if the food is amazing. And let’s be honest, you don’t really have anything better to do in Fort Leonard Wood. A couple of the folks I ate with weren’t really happy with their food, and that was understandable(5 shrimp in a bowl of shrimp and grits? come on!) But my meal was holy moly amazeballs! The veggie sandwich was so flavorful and full of a variety of yummy veggies and cheesy. The Mac n’ cheese wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but was really tasty. And definitely try their tea lemonade, you get a big mason jar full of it and it helps to keep the hunger pangs away while you wait.

My wife, son, and I had a delicious dinner here on a thurs evening. I had the Smothered Pork-Chop with Cabbage Potatoes n’ Sweet Corn-Bread(Thurs special). The peppery gravy melted the plate together. I get Pork-Chops where ever I go and this is in the top 2 ever. My wife had the Cajun Chicken Philly w/waffle fries and loved it. For desert we hat a slice of Red Velvet Cake w/cream cheese walnut icing that hit the spot and ended the great meal on a high note. My wife and I washed our meal down with an un-sweetened Iced Tea and an Arnold Palmer both served in ice cold Mason Jars They mainly serve lunch here, but they stay open in till 800 pm on Thursdays and Fridays. This place is located next to Cable America and is easy to miss. It has no large signage in above its entrance as of 29Mar13. Food — Excellent, Service — Excellent, Price — Good, Atmosphere — Enjoyable(jazzy), Cleanliness — Fair

Had lunch here with my hubby. Restaurant was clean, décor was very nice, soft jazz music and our server was great! We had the chicken wings and waffles special. It was very good especially the bourbon waffle syrup. The wings were seasoned nicely, not salty or dry. The sweet tea seemed to be brewed and was so good. If your diabetic get the unsweetened tea! Overall we will be back to try more meals. Not open for dinner is the downside but food was great.
