Cute tea house with decent food. A bit overpriced. But it was a nice thing to do with my mom and sister.

Been here a handful of times, love it everytime. Get the white queens cake, it’s amazing!

A quiet, quaint place with a very good selection of teas and very good light meals and desserts. The staff is also very friendly.

My girlfriends and I had lunch here today and enjoyed it. It’s nothing amazing, but Salado had very few options. I had the avocado chicken salad sandwich and tomato basil soup, the sandwich was pretty good, just needed something. I put salt and pepper on it, it helped, but something else was still missing :(Dijon mustard? The cranberry lemon iced tea was so good! It’s lightly sweetened :) Both of my friends had the southwest grilled chicken wrap and said it was very good. One had the zucchini soup and said it was ok, she liked my tomato basil better. We’ll be back and that will be on my list to try next.

The tea room itself was charming but that’s about it. We celebrated my daughters 8th birthday at Ambrosia Tea Room. I called several times for a week straight before finally getting someone on the phone. The lady claimed she received my voicemail but forgot to call back. I was told they could accommodate us but no further details about what their parties entailed. I called to get clarification about what to expect and they had no record of the party being booked or conversation, so we had to rebook the party and set a menu. I called on another date to ask a question and once again they had no record of us scheduling a party, and had to rebook it once more. They called two days before to verify our reservation and this time had no record of the menu we discussed or that it was suppose to be a party. We didn’t really have a hostess or any particular servers for the occasion. The service was less then desirable. We had one long table for our girls and the other two tables were left dirty with empty glasses and plates with old food sitting on them. They didn’t come back to refill our teapots until the end and most of the guests were gone or leaving. They checked on us twice but forgot to address our concerns/needs. I felt like we were just lost in the shuffle. The food is overpriced and the servers was rude. I have no plans to visit Ambrosia Tea Room again.

We tried to get a light bite and a tea/coffee here. You walk in to a lobby area that looks like the business vacated in the middle of the night and left the junk they didn’t want. The menu was non existent, a few teas, plain coffee and maybe a handful of desserts. To serve small sandwiches and soups would be so easy to add. Sorry, Ambrosia. This is a miss.

My family and I had a great time at this quaint and pretty tea room. The tea room is decorated in old fashioned clothes and hats with fashion posters and pictures on the walls. The Lemon-Cranberry Tea was amazing! And oh my God the Key Lime Pie and Queen’s cake was so delicious! It was such a surprise to find such a great place in small town Salado.
