Family owned and conveniently located right off of IH35 in Salado. This store is very well organized and the owners are very knowledgeable about their products. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Not just with my questions about alcohol but they knew what was going on in town. Really nice people.

So Hillary and I (see below) were trucking on down I-​35 on the way to Austin and realized that we were quickly approaching 9 pm and were severely lacking in alcohol provisions…
Enter Village Spirits: an oasis in the desert. We pulled over and found pretty much everything you would need in a liquor store, but the 5 stars are for the very friendly owner who chatted us up and even told us a little bit about the attractions and entertainment in the town of Salado.
When I realized I forgot water for the road, I ran back in and he gave me a bottle for free! What a guy. Great customer service is always memorable! If you are in the area, get yer booze here.

We were on our way from Dallas to Austin and thought we had better stop and get some alcohol before 9pm and we stopped here. The owner was so friendly and talkative. He told us all about Salado and even gave us a free water. Honestly I never write Unilocal reviews but if I’m ever in Salado again I would buy drinks there again.

In just the few times I’ve been in here, they have always been very friendly and helpful. I’ve seen them with other customers and the service is consistent and excellent. Good prices. They are very knowledgeable about the products. Genuinely nice people.
