Ace of Fades

Straight up, the two barbers that took care of me on two separate occasions do not know how to cut hair.

Stopped in here after seeing some reviews on Unilocal.Josh D gave me the best haircut I’ve had in at least ten years and one of the best fades I’ve ever had. Glad I stopped in and I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in the area. It’s hard to find a military style barber of that quality. I highly recommend him.

Hands down the best haircut I have ever recieved. I’m pretty picky and Will surpassed my expectations. His attention to detail was impeccable. I will be back soon with my son in tow to show him what a barbershop is supposed to be like. If I could give more stars I would!

I almost hate to write this because it could result in a greater wait time, BUT I thoroughly enjoyed getting may hair done by Josh at the state street location. A little bit of a wait, but that’s what happens when you give haircuts as great as he gives. Genuinely the best barber experience I’ve had and I will definitely be returning!
And well priced too, which is all the more reason to give a fantastic tip!

Great haircut, but unbelievably inappropriate conversations. I get that it is a barber shop and that talk will happen, but it was obvious there was a child present. We will not be coming back.

It was a great haircut by Brandon, but the other barber who was cutting the other mans hair was talking alot about porn which tempts me alot and they said f*** various times during the haircut, otherwise i really like the haircut.

Went to the one on State St today as a walk in and Josh hooked me up. I didn’t wait long, but even if I did. a good haircut takes time and like he said «quality over quantity’ and I agree. He was funny, professional, and quite ocd about getting everything right around the room not only on my head. making sure things were sterilized and ready. Being very careful about listening to what I wanted and working with me to achieve what I wanted. Only $ 15 for a good haircut from people who know what they are doing, Josh in particular since I haven’t had anybody else. 20 years experience, if you are interested in a good haircut/barber.check Josh out!

I have been got my cuts from Brandon (the owner) since 2011 this is his second location the other one being on state and 17^th. The experience of getting my haircut here was the smoothest it’s ever been. In and out in 25 minutes a good clean fade there is plenty of barber’s so the wait time is reduced heavily. It’s nice and fresh inside there is beverages if your thirsty it’s been open since Monday I visited on a Wednesday and so far they are on a roll. If you want to go get a good cut, at a good price and dont feel like waiting forever just to get in the chair and get your cut this is the place.

I went to Ace of Fades on a recommendation and let me tell you: this is the real deal! I usually am a routine guy who gets the same haircut every time. The barber and owner, Brandon Lawrence, asked me if I would like to try something new. I am glad I made the decision. I haven’t gotten that many compliments on my hair in a long time.
If you are looking for a place that does great work, charges a reasonable price and is quick about getting you in and out, this is the place to go. It’s a smaller location but the graphic designs are awesome and you can play your own music while you get your haircut. He even has a straight razor to get you as clean as possible!
