I wish this place was a little bit bigger considering it gets sooooo packed here and the wait time is always usually a long time. BUT the food is amazing and definitely worth the wait. the staff is also very kind and accommodating

My god, this place is absolutely amazing. The food, the deserts, the service and the chefs. I would give them 6 stars if it was possible. Hands down the best place I’ve eaten in Salem so far! Every single thing on the menu (ALL OF IT) is nothing short of delicious!

Skillet breakfast was large and tasty. When I ordered something with shrimp I was expecting a couple regular sized, seasoned shrimp. I got a bunch of tiny, unseasoned, shrimp. I didn’t eat those.
Friendly and prompt service. Relatively clean.

They get 3 stars only because I ordered takeout and found myself with no utensils. Difficult to eat a salad without a fork. Neatly at least! Salad was bomb, and huge!

We had breakfast here on a Sunday morning, and thoroughly enjoyed it! We’re looking forward to coming back for more!

American Breakfast. What more can I say? This place is between a 2 and a 3 star, but I am given them a 3 star, so as not to ding them.

Annette’s food is probably a 3.5, but the service and value bump it up to 4 stars. I had dinner at Annette’s with my family on Wednesday. As we had a long travel day, we arrived early for dinner, around 5:15. There were already a few tables seated, as well as several people in the bar. This place is not fancy, but it was comfortable. We were approached immediately by a host for drink orders. I went with a local IPA that was fantastic.
Once our server arrived, we decided on the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer, opting for toast instead of chips for dipping. This is a large appetizer, we didn’t finish it. That being said, it was very good, one of the better versions of this dish I’ve had. It was creamy, and it was seasoned very well. We all loved it. However, with the large salad bar, plus the enormous portion sizes, I don’t think I would order an appetizer on a return trip. You simply get too much food at this place.
The salad bar was good, but not great. It has a LOT of ingredients, including a few different types of cheeses, ham, chicken, and some thicker cut bacon. It’s very good quality bacon for a salad bar. They also have 3 types of lettuce: iceberg, spring mix, and spinach. There is an array of veggies as well. The dressings were standard, and based on my choice of blue cheese, I couldn’t tell if they were housemade or bottled.
To eat, I went with the prime rib and fried prawns, and I had the prime rib blackened. I ordered it medium rare and it came out well beyond that. But, the blackening seasoning was good and it was a generous cut of beef. The fried shrimp was good, but the cocktail sauce was fantastic. It was HEAVY on the horseradish, be advised. But, I loved it. This meal is served with your choice of potato, and I went with garlic mashed based on the recommendation of our server. It was a good choice, they were flavorful, not gummy, and still had the skins, which I prefer.
I tried one of my son’s tater tots and my brother’s french fries, they were fine. Not homemade. My brother got the steak sandwich (see picture) which was basically a huge ribeye covering a couple of pieces of toast. It was enormous. No one at my table finished their meal, Annette’s certainly gives you good value for your money.
Overall, this place isn’t serving unforgettable food. It serves the classics, does them well, and give you great value for your money. Additionally, we experienced really good service. I would return on a future trip to Salem.

Good food and good service. The place was busy on a Wednesday night and the staff handled it well. I would solidly recommend to a friend. Nothing fancy, but not a Denny’s either.

Absolutely the best, food and service.
They have almost anything you could want and then everything you wouldn’t think you would. My hubby who is never brave trying new food had the thrasher shark and was blown away by it!
The calm chowder is phenomenal.
Our 4 year old had the Mickey Mouse pancake with 2 pieces of bacon, my husband said it’s the best bacon EVER and he is a bacon guy.
I had the steak fajita salad they had on special, it was awesome and HUGE!
We will definitely be back, a person sitting by us had chicken strips and they looked like the best thing on earth so those will be our next order for sure.
Give them a try, I promise you won’t be sorry!

Eat here for breakfast at least once a month and always order the same thing; the Titan Meal. For $ 15.99 you get 3 eggs, toast or muffin, thick bacon, delicious sausage, ham steak, a giant pancake, hashbrowns or country taters, and a full serving of biscuits and gravy.
For all you families with kids that don’t eat much, this is the perfect breakfast to share. My wife, 5 year old, 1 year old, and I can’t even finish this when we split it. Not only is it an amazing deal, the food is delicious and always satisfying.
Lines can get long so if you really want to try it out (and you should) I recommend Sunday morning breakfast around 8 or 9 while everyone else is at church.

We were in Salem visiting family for almost 3 weeks. We ate at Annette’s 4 times (breakfast, lunch & dinner – ate in twice, took out twice). Each time we tried something new and everything was delicious! The portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. Servers and other employees there are always on top of it and very friendly. They have a great salad bar as well as a dessert case. I guarantee Annette’s has something for everyone in your family! You will not be disappointed.

We arrived at 6am (opening time) and were impressed with the number of other people who also showed up early.
I ordered the Bus Stop Omelette, and Paul ordered the House Skillet. Both were monstrous in terms of portion size, so much so that we could have easily shared a single dish. The star was definitely the biscuit, which looks like an enormous roll but tastes like a biscuit. Other than that, the food was nothing special. The biggest problem was a general lack of seasoning.
Service was very good. Our cups never ran dry, found arrived in a timely manner, and we were able to settle our check quickly.
Atmosphere had several pluses and one major minus (the place was freeeeeezing). We liked the music and the casual feel of the place.
All and all, an okay experience.

I used to live in Salem and this is the first time I have come here! I went to dinner with my dad tonight and j was surprised to see Bob who was the manager at McGraths! I knew from then it would be a great place! The negative side was that the menu had too much good food so it was difficult to choose. I had the chicken cordon bleu with the garlic mashed potatoes, it was rich and delicious. You definitely get a hefty serving! I left room for dessert and caved in for the carrot cake. I love the atmosphere and the employees, this is now one of my favorite restaurants! I wish it was a chain so I could have it down in Orange County!!!

This place is absolutely delicious! Well worth the wait. The only reason I don’t give them a 5 is because they don’t serve freshly squeezed orange juice.

I love this place the food and staff are Awesome this is my now go to place when in Salem. I asked for a white mocha and the waiter told me it was «a bar drink» I asked him to explain he the stated to me, «it has alcohol in it» what he brought back was heavenly! The staff always comes by to make sure your ok and the environment was really family friendly inside. I can’t find enough good things to say about this place wait I love it! That pretty much sums it up

Small-​town comfort food done perfectly. Service is very casual, but extremely attentive. Biscuits & gravy are homemade and OUTSTANDING. The coffee is perfect. Always busy, but we’ve never had a problem getting a table at any time of the day. Melissa has served our family many times and each and every time she has been fabulous. Some people have a natural talent of expertly serving. They also have a lounge with video poker and regulars, so get there early!

The hash browns I got were enormous and very tasty!
My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy with bacon. She said that the biscuits could have been more moist and the bacon could have been crisper. But overall it was pretty good.
