We stopped over at Arcane and enjoyed some one on one time with Jeff. The cellar was actually closed for the season, but he still invited us in for a tasting, some good conversation, and a pleasant afternoon . The Pinot’s are all very nice, and the Red was like a warm blanket. We’ll be back!

This winery is one our favorite stops in the Willamette Valley! Their wide variety and price point are hard to beat. We have never found a wine that we didn’t like here. If you are just going to Dundee or to the Carliton areas to taste wine you are missing out. The Salem area is and namely Arcane Cellars has some awesome wines. You should plan your next tour around visiting this wonderful winery.

Arcane is one of the gems of the Willamette Valley. They have many great wines Including some of the best Pinot Noir you will ever taste and one of the top Rieslings on the West Coast. Couple this with owners who genuinely care about their customers and club members, and you have an awesome experience every visit. I would visit this idyllic setting just to chat with Jeff and the crew even if I didn’t drink wine. Don’t miss out on a chance to stop by.

What a friendly fun place to visit! We joined after tasting their amazing wine and being welcomed by the owner. Snacks and lots of conversation. Fun place to stop by, priced well and the wine is of high quality.

We were fortunate to find Arcane during a kayak trip down the sunny Willamette. our visit at Arcane was beyond fantastic. Such wonderful hosts! We were lucky enough to share wine, visit and pack an(un) reasonable amount of(liquid) stash in our yaks. Being very hot during July, we of course had to consume them quickly… The whites that come out of Arcane are spectacular, simply some of the best we have had the chance to enjoy. My wife and I are traditional Merlot/Cab drinkers, Arcane’s Pinot Gris absolutely changed our perspectives. Stop in, enjoy, Arcane remains a very peaceful and friendly location to spend an afternoon! As stated in an earlier thread, it is indeed much like the early days of Napa/Russian River area, circa 1970 – 71. With the limited grape harvesting lands in the valley it will be in my mind and likely remain a charming standout replica of an era gone by.

I stumbled across this winery pretty much by chance. It’s a nice, family-run winery. The owner was one of the first winemakers in Massachusetts of all places — he’s Portuguese-American and it was cool talking to him about our Portuguese ancestry. I imagine a winery like this would have existed in the 70s in Napa. And I’m glad places like this still exist in the US. And in this case, right along the Willamette River. Just beautiful views. Picnic areas. I loved the Bordeaux blend and took a bottle back to NYC. Highly recommended if you want a more relaxed and less snobby wine tasting experience. I’ll definitely return here the next time I go to Oregon wine country.

This low key friendly family winery is at the top of my list for weekend tasting and snacking. Jeff and Sharon and their staff pour a wide selection of excellent wines. This is a «must visit» for any wine lover.

A nice selection of Oregon’s finest wines at this small winery. Tasting is $ 10. Enjoy the wine, and help yourself to the nice Oregon cheeses, salami and gourmet crackers at the snack table. The winery dog, a gentle Australian shepherd named Bindy, will make sure you are well greeted. Great wines, great hospitality. Also a great stop before crossing the Willamette River by ferry, at Wheatland. Not to be missed.
