Can I give this place 0 stars, or even negative stars, no? Too bad. The only good thing about this place is that after the renovation it does look much nicer, and it is very clean. Also, the cookies here are pretty good… Everything else is absolutely terrible. Service is incredibly rude, food is bad, did I mention how bad service here is? In terms of service, the best example I can give was one that happened just yesterday(Monday, Aug. 13. 2013) I order a medium iced coffee, cream, no sugar. I had to wait a very long time to get my cup of coffee, I have to wait less in a busy restaurant after ordering a drink. And this place wasn’t nearly busy at the time. When i got it, it was sweet. I come up to the counter and say«excuse me miss, this is sweet» She answers in a very rude tone and manner, saying something like: «yeah, and…» That’s when I told her I asked specifically, for no sugar. When she went to go remake it, I told her I didn’t want to wait again, and just wanted my money back. So, she, very unhappily, gave it to me. I went to McDonald’s, which is close buy, and had my cup of coffee, served just the way i wanted it, no sugar, and good, fast service — for the same price. Yes, the McDonalds near this place is actually quite nice, also recently renovated. Back to this BK thought, the service was rude on all my previous visits as far as my memory serves,. As for food, the most recent things I ate from this place was a Whopper, and a salad. Both were soggy, and of horrendously low quality. After seeing how their burgers were made on the day of the coffee incident, I now know why. Instead of being«flame grilled» fresh, they sit in a special, heated container and wait until someone slaps them, and a couple of ingredients onto a burger. If you forget that the location itself is nice and clean, homeless shelters probably have nicer food — because people preparing it care more than the people here. I can’t vouch for it though, as I have never been homeless.
