I’ve been here three times and never have heard them sing, I’ve also tipped each time but still no singing. The ice cream is good and the workers are usually pleasant, but they aren’t overly friendly or welcoming. I looked at the menu online before coming in the other day and when I ordered what I wanted they had no idea what I was talking about, I pulled up the online menu and showed them and they said they never heard of it. I read to them what was in the ice cream and they messed it up pretty terribly and it wasn’t very good. It’s a tradition that we go to Coldstone every time I go to Oregon but I think I may have to find a new place as I seem to be disappointed whenever I go there.

I didn’t see an employee wash their hands one time while I was there for 30 minutes with a perfect view behind the counter. Handling cash, then touching waffle cones and brownies with their bare hands, then touching cards/cash again. Of course the ice cream is great. I love their ice cream, but this was my first time back in about 5 years. I don’t think I have a real reason to return. I’ll gladly indulge in my tillamook where I know my hands are clean.

Delicious ice cream creations, so-so service. At least that’s my take — for an ice cream which is nearly $ 7 I guess I expect a lot more than a high schooler who seems a bit resistant to wanting to actually take your order. Then again, maybe I’m reading into things too much. I scooped ice cream for a summer and hated every minute of it. Looks to me like the kids working slightly dread it… Which is understandable in some ways. Also, the new pbj creation was not that great. Thankfully, we only come about 3x a year. This is an update — gross experience in bathrooms have me freaking out about any cleanliness here. Eww! Women’s room has sign on door«light does not work» — men’s room paper towels sitting on top, toilet paper on top — soap empty and soap pump on sink is filled w water! GROSS!!!

If you really like overloaded ice cream(think: Ben and Jerry’s) you’ll love this place. If you’re like me and like your ice cream simple and you’re not much of a sugar freak, you’ll like this place less. I can’t give it a negative rating just because I’m not a sugar addict, because I can see the appeal of this place. The ice cream is good and they have about 1,000 add-ins which makes it fun. The only drawback is that the workers sing when you tip them.

Folks of all shapes and sizes are likely to come here to enjoy dessert in the hot Oregon summer or to satisfy a fatty sweet tooth. The place is small but charming enough to be a nice after dinner spot. The ice cream is typical of any cold stone and has the same spendy cold stone prices. The winner for me here was the customer service. The staff sang a welcome song to my group and I upon entering and were pleasant to deal with. One girl was even smart enough to ask for my ID during my use of my credit card(which is I like) and her coworkers were all smiles while they mashed away at our ice cream creations. Bonus points include their clean bathrooms and outdoor seating.
